November Reveal Day #2 at ITP

I hope you enjoyed the goodies from yesterday's post, but we have Day #2 from the November release at Ink to Paper to share with you today! We are introducing Brighter Days Stamp Set and Dies + Cover Plate: Ornate Die + Feathered Friends 6 Dies + Inside Greetings: Feel Better stamp set.

My first card features the Brighter Days set with its beautiful lavender sprigs and it goes so well with the new ornate cover die!
I love to layer tone on tone intricate dies which showcases such beautiful texture. I also used two colors of inks on the florals by stamping the lighter shade overall then adding a darker shade along portions of the image.

I find it easier to release the die from the paper if I pass the "sandwich" through my Big Shot several times (I did it 6 times and rotated it and moved it to different areas of my cutting plates with each pass).

The Bitty Big packs of patterned papers also make it so easy to mix several patterns together.

STAMPS: Brighter Days, Just Sentiments: Get Well, Inside Greetings: Feel Better
INK: New Leaf, Ocean Tides, Bright Buttercup, Lilac Grace, Amethyst Allure, True Black
PAPER: Bitty Big: Lilac Grace, Soft Stone, Stampers Select White
DIES: Cover Plate: Ornate, Brighter Days, To the Point Edgers, Keep It Simple Frames, Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles

My second card - also using Brighter Days - is a little bolder and again uses a mix of patterned papers.

I added texture with the dry embossed tag, the staples and the jute twine. Popping the tag with foam tape also adds more dimension.

Don't be afraid to tilt your panels for more visual interest!

STAMPS: Brighter Days
INK: New Leaf, Ocean Tides, Simply Chartreuse, Winter Wisteria, Amethyst Allure, Bright Buttercup
PAPER: Bitty Big: Amethyst Allure, Stampers Select White
DIES: Brighter Days, Floral Delicacies, Charming Tags

Next, I have a card that features the gorgeous new Feathered Friend 6 die! He's a larger bird than some of the previous dies but is looking mighty regal perched on some fall leaves!

I recently ordered some Text Style paper packs and created my card based on the color palette in this pattern from the Candy Cane Prints.
I like to add splatters to the Leaves in Fall to give them a mottled look...much like real fall leaves.

STAMPS: Leaves in Fall
INK: Spring Moss, Simply Charteuse, Ripe Avocado, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Smokey Shadow, Pure Poppy
PAPER: Textured Style: Candy Cane Prints, Pure Poppy, Stampers Select White
DIES: Cover Plate: Ornate, Border Bling: Believe, Feathered Friends Die 6, Leaves in Fall, Skinny Frames: Diagonal Border

TIPS:
1. Cutting all of the bird dies from white card stock first then color blending with brushes makes it easier to get gradient shading.
2. Word dies appear more prominent when you layer with at least two die cuts.

Thanks for hanging in there on this long post. Hope to see you back again tomorrow for more reveals!                      ~Wanda
