Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Happy fall, y'all!  The Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is happening and I've stamped out of my usual box by avoiding color and going with a totally monochromatic file folder card using the envelope punch board.

Wouldn't this be a great way to share a gift card with a coffee loving friend?!  I love paper piecing this cup from North Coast Creations' Warm My Heart stamp set.  Papers are from ODBD's Vintage Ephemera Collection.  I sponged the coffee splats/stains using Chocolate Chip ink and TCW's Mini Coffee Splotch stencil.

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's that time again for all you coffee lovers...it's the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and there are a lot of wonderful sponsors giving away some fabulous prizes! All you have to do is create a coffee-themed card and link it to the blog HERE. 

 I decided to combine this with a couple of other favorite challenges:
Colour Q Challenge (see photo on left) and the Fusion Card Challenge ( sketch only).  I paper pieced the coffee cup and stenciled some coffee splotches (by TCW) on orange CS from my scrap pile. The designer papers are from Follow Your Heart "Be Amazing" 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye.  I love this "Warm My Heart" stamp set by North Coast Creations...so perfect for coffee lovers!  The clothespin is by SU and the tiny coffee tag is by Reverse Confetti.  I also used the Stitched Corner Rectangle STAX and the Stitched Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics by My Favorite Things.

Looking Back at NCC March Release

 

Today we are looking back at North Coast Creations March release. I'm bringing you another card using the Warm My Heart stamp set - so perfect for coffee lovers!  I'm also using ODBD Beautiful Borders die and Ornate Hearts dies.  I added Glossy Accents to the fussy cut heart and the tiny stamped heart on the sentiment banner.  A trio of clear sequins were the finishing touches.  

My second project (using the same stamp set) is a little tie-on gift card holder made using an envelope punch board.  I only scored 3 of the 4 sides using dimensions for a 3"x 3" card.  The insert was punched using the next smaller size that's printed on the punch board. The sentiment was die cut using ODBD Mini Tags die.

North Coast Creations March Release

I'm joining in with the new release hop over at North Coast Creations this month! As a coffee lover, I was excited to see this new Warm My Heart stamp set.  This will be a 'go to' set for the popular coffee hops that are all over blog land!

I paper pieced the cup and popped the heart on foam tape.  The sentiments were cut using the ODBD Mini Tag and Pennant Die sets.  I sponged the TCW Mini Coffee Splotch stencil using Soft Suede ink before adhering the doily.  The ODBD Beautiful Borders die was used with some coordinating patterned paper - showing only a portion of the border.

 For my second project, I created a thank you card to give with a matching "denim" gift box that holds 8 K-cups.  I took a manilla shipping tag and stenciled a tweed pattern in navy, then paper pieced and popped the new cup stamp with foam tape.  The sentiment was die cut with the same Pennant Die set used in my previous card.

Retrosketches & A Sneak Peek

Good Sunday morning everyone! I'm playing along with the Retrosketches Challenge and I'm also giving you a sneak peek at a fun new set - Warm My Heart - that will be released in a few days by North Coast Creations! You will love it a latte! :-)  Very simple with lots of layers and a paper pieced focal point.  The sentiment on the inside reads "Good coffee is a pleasure, Good friends are a treasure."  I thought these papers from 7 Gypsies "Venice" pad gave it a masculine flair.  The tiny sentiment tag is a die from the Mini Tags set at ODBD.
