While a thunderstorm is rolling through the Shenandoah Valley here in VA, I'm finishing up this card and entering it into the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I really enjoy the Kristina Werner collection of Long Line Roses she designed for Concord & 9th! The stencils make it so easy to color everything very quickly. I wanted to showcase the new Coastal Blue dye ink and paper recently made available at Papertrey Ink. While it's very close, it's simply not the same shade as Aqua Mist which has not been available for years! I will sadly mourn losing that color!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
There's an awesome new layout by Michelle on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog. I cut several Woodwork die strips from Stone paper then color blended Weathervane ink along the edges. I dusted off PTI's Into the Blooms dies for the florals. I think that was the start of their Into the Blooms die series. Let's just say I have an abundance of their floral dies since this one was released!
I started by spritzing Weathered Wood, Speckled Egg and Tumbled Glass distress spray stains onto an A2 watercolor panel. I swiped down the length of the panel to give a light blend of the colors. I then lightly stamped a script in black ink and then stenciled the dots using Stormy Sky distress ink. The florals were all cut from white Bristol Smooth Surface paper then color blended with dye inks. After that step was done, I splattered with Permanent White Gouache paint.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I loved the unique layout for the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and just had to play along. I was in an earthy neutral mode and used scraps of patterned papers from Honeybee's Textiles & Textures Vintage pad. I die cut strips and adhered them to a rustic white panel then splattered with Ground Espresso distress ink. Some jute twine topped off this simple design.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I'm loving these beautiful papers from a new 6x6 pad called Bloom & Wild by Crafter's Consortium (ordered from Creative Worship Stamps). After the different patterns were adhered to the card base, I popped up an oval sentiment after adding some crinkled seam binding. It just seemed fitting to pair that with the feminine rose paper. I'm playing with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #672.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch
Michelle has a fun new layout for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! I needed a masculine thank you card and this fit the bill. (edited to add: this link party already closed...boohoo!).
I started with some leftover eucalyptus leaves and then created a custom stenciled plaid since none of my patterned papers matched the colors.
I added texture by dry embossing a brick background. The sentiment was stamped in the two distress ink colors.

Birthday Cupcake
INK: Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Fine Linen, Classic Kraft (PTI).
Another card added to my birthday stash. I used some older "stuff" from my massive supplies accumulated from around 30 years of papercrafting! I'm trying to go back and use more of my older things so this card was fun to combine older favorites.

Floral Trio
It's another hot day in VA and I'm staying cool with stamping a card for two challenges. It's mood board week on the Just Us Girls challenge blog and I was definitely inspired by the shades of blue in the ocean and also the red poppies. The layout was done using the sketch on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog.
The florals were stamped using black pigment ink then clear embossed and watercolored by smooshing distress inks onto my glass mat, spritzing with water and adding to the images with a brush.

You Are Loved
Good Friday everyone! I'm playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #632. A quick and easy card with layering up 3 ripped banners (dies by PTI) and placing them over a dry embossed base. The sentiment was gold embossed to tie in with the Prim Poppy die from metallic gold paper.

Birthday Pansies
I dusted off these pansy dies and created this card for three different challenges.
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #629
The Flower Challenge #102 - add spots or stripes.
Cupcake Inspiration #617 - purple & sage colors.
I started with some Bristol Smooth Paper and color blended all the pansy and leafy pieces.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I loved the sketch for the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and decided to play along with some recent releases from Ink to Paper! I always love the soft colors that Melissa Phillips uses in her card creations, so hopefully channeled some of her soft ink blending into this design. The corner holly die with matching stamps is such a fun and easy image to use!
STAMPS: Corner It: Holly, Just Sentiments: He Is Born (Ink to Paper/PTI).
INK: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, True Black (Ink to Paper/PTI).
PAPER: Pale Peony, White (Ink to Paper/PTI).
DIES: Corner It: Holly, Keep It Simple: Frames (Ink to Paper/PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
It's a beautiful fall week with glorious sunshine and afternoon temps to get near 70! Yay! Our tree colors here in the Shenandoah Valley are very disappointing this year. Mostly browns, a few gold colors but they seem to just turn brown and drop off early. Maybe next year we will see more of the reds and oranges! ~Wanda

Monsterous
I'm excited to join in with a new (to me) challenge - Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! It was perfect to get another Halloween card completed for the grands! I love this fun Monsterous stamp set with matching dies by Reverse Confetti...so perfect to add some googly eyes!
I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copics then die cut with matching dies. Patterned papers are from Reverse Confetti's Fright Night 6x6" pad. So now this catches me up with cards for our 3 grandchildren!
It's a rainy day in VA...perfect to retreat to my stamping room while I wait on furniture delivery guys to stop by. Happy Friday my friends!
