Sympathy in Peach & Blue

Good Wednesday morning! I'm playing along with two challenges to create this sympathy card.

The Flower Challenge - a color challenge using peach and light blue.

It's been a long time since I played with the cactus die set from Papertrey Ink. So thankful they provided a helpful guide that illustrates how to layer up the blooms! I cut all the parts from white paper then color blended with brushes.

Word Art Wednesday July 2

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to another Word Art Wednesday challenge! This time we are featuring Isaiah 54:17. Our sponsor this time is Lawn Fawn who is giving away a $25 gift card to some blessed participant.

I started with an A2 size panel of white paper and sponged on (with sea sponge) some Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers distress inks.  I die cut the panel using Papertrey Ink's Coverplate: Fanciful Flowers. I computer printed the verse then used a curvy outlined acrylic block to "stamp" the light green background. I applied Twisted Citron to the block then misted with water before applying to the paper. Florals were all cut from white paper then color blended with a variety of PTI inks.

INK: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers distress inks (Ranger); Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart (PTI).
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (PTI); Bristol Smooth Surface.
DIES: Coverplate: Fanciful Flowers, Into the Blooms: Wreath (PTI)

Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #836

Happy hump day! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge and this time it's with kraft, fuchsia and orange. I love the fuchsia color shade but do not have a good ink color to match what I think it should be. The best I could do was use a couple of deep raspberry pink colors. Tim Holtz...we need a fuchsia distress ink color - lol!

The flowers and leaves were all die cut from Bristol Smooth Surface paper then color blended. The flowers in this die set are perfect for adding dimension by using foam dots behind some of the layers and by curling the petals with your fingers.

STAMPS: Direct Messages (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Raspberry Bliss (Pinkfresh Studio); Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade distress inks; Classic Kraft, Limeade Ice, Cocoa Bean, Harvest Gold (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White (PTI); Bristol Smooth Surface.
DIES: Direct Messages, Into the Blooms: Radiant Florals, Cover Plate: Cross Stitched (PTI).
OTHER: Enamel dots.
