Daisies for DTGD

It's been such a hectic few days that I haven't been able to play along with any of the Dare To Get Dirty challenges on Splitcoaststampers! My first entry is for Smilyn Stef's challenge. I can't divulge details because this is for fan members of SCS only. You can find out about the details HERE if you are not already a fan member.

I loved layering up the stamping with this Oopsie Daisy set from The Greetery. I colored the Quart Jar die (from Papertrey Ink) with Copics and topped it off with some jute twine. The sentiment is from the Sentiement Suite: Birthday set - also by The Greetery.
Patterned papers are from an old 6x6" paper pad - Vintage Finds by Teresa Collins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!                  ~Wanda

Sweet Sunday Sketch

I'm using Karen's sketch (in a flipped version) for her Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge and combining it with Tenia's and Susie's fun Dare to Get Dirty challenges on SCS! I can't go into Tenia's technique details for the background, but I will say it was simple and fun!  I've had this crazy bird stamp set for some time and I'm FINALLY inking it up!  They make me laugh every time I see them!  I stamped the bird over the background glossy paper panel and also stamped it on X-Press It Blending Card so I could color it easily with Copics.  I fussy cut and paper pieced it...adding the hat from Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals stamp set.  I turned the sentiment bubble upside down by inking only the outline in black, stamped it, then inked the whole stamp again with TH Twisted Citron distress ink, wiped off the outline area and stamped the words in the previously stamped bubble.  Hope that makes sense - lol!  I'm not happy with how different the two white papers are together, so am thinking I need to revamp this card when I have more time.  The glossy panel looks much too gray. :-(

STAMPS: Crazy Birds (Tim Holtz Collection by Stampers Anonymous), Chubby Chums Pals by Paper Smooches, Just Sayin' by SU.
PAPER: White Georgia Pacific, Glossy CS, X-Press It Blending Card.
INK: Ripe Persimmon, Twisted Citron, Fossilized Amber distress inks; Memento Tuxedo Black.
ACCESSORIES: Stitched rectangle die by Lil' Inker Designs; Flag It die set by Verve; Sequins; Copics.

More DTGD Fun

I just had to squeeze in a couple more Dare to Get Dirty challenges this morning and it worked out perfectly since I needed a wedding card for this afternoon. Yikes...nothing like waiting until the last minute! I really had to restrain myself from adding any color, but managed to keep it all white for Lydia's challenge (except for the wee smidgen of neutral gray sponging and the Basic Gray stamped sentiment).  The base is dry embossed using Kassie's Brocade EF then I added 3 rows of a die cut heart border from PTI.  Some satin roses found at Michael's, a leafy flourish Die-Namic by MFT, and a quick sentiment (Verve's Small Celebrations set) and this came together quickly!

Outside Lookin' In

This is a multi-challenge card for 4 different DTGD challenges (check it out on SCS) and it's also for Flourishes Birthday Celebration Challenge to celebrate 5 years of business. The brick embossed base was "dirtied" up using Soft Suede ink, then I "wallpapered" the wall using a chevron design. The fence is in reference to the new picket fence at the entrance to our driveway (Dina's challenge). An out of control driver recently demolished our fence and landscaping, so we just got everything replaced this past week. I colored the sunflower with Copics then fussy cut the image. The chair was paper pieced.

Stamps: Sunflowers (Flourishes), Chair image by Recollections, Small Phrases by Verve
Paper: On the Sunny Side DP by MME, Soft Suede, White, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Soft Suede, Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Bricked EF by Tim Holtz, Grand Madison Window die, Fence die by Memory Box, Oval, window and label punches by SU, Copics

Here We Go Loop-de-loo!

This is a 3 in 1 card - made for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and also for 2 of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges over on SCS (Bev Gerard's and Teresa Kline's challenges). There are lots of fabulous prizes to be given away, so head on over HERE to read about the details and dare yourself to get dirty!

I love this fun loopy flower stamp from Verve's Making a Statement set with its matching die.   I layered tiny black punched circles and rhinestones in the flower centers.  The polka dotted paper is flocked and gives the card a surprise element of texture that I love!  The sentiment is from Verve's Hope Blooms set.  Paper is "Chapter One" pad by Kaisercraft.

Thanks for stopping by...I'm heading out to work soon where I'll be faced with a huge admission day - close to 60 new clients are due to arrive on our rehab campus!  May need to choose roller skates for shoes today!

Dare to Get Dirty

Good Monday everyone!
Have you gotten to join the Dirty Dozen yet in the challenges, chatter and stamping that kicked off on July 28th?  Dirty Dozen design team members have been busy cooking up dozens of creative challenges sure to revive even the rustiest mojo, and the generous Member Companies have sponsored the event with some fabulous prize packages for players.  My schedule was just too jam- packed this summer to host a challenge, but I did manage to make this sample card for my good friend, Teresa Kline aka va.sunshine, who is hosting one of today's challenges.

I can't go into detail about her challenge because you need to be a fan club member on SCS and then you can get all the details!  This week-long celebration is a thank you event for the Fan Club members who support the SCS site with their subscriptions, so join us here today and then come play along!

There's a whole lot of Vervey goodness going on with this card...both stamps and dies!
