CAS Nautical

It's been a VERY rainy Sunday (5 inches in the rain gauge - level was at the top so it might have been even more!) so it's been good for playing along with a couple of challenges. The Paper Players have a CAS nautical theme happening and Just Us Girls has a color challenge using teal, yellow and tan. I pulled out some stamps and dies by Papertrey Ink and this was the result.

I had this tan watercolor panel in my leftover stash for a long time so I'm guessing that I used Scattered Straw distress ink but am not positive. The sunflower and leaves were die cut from leftover watercolor papers then splattered with water and Permanent White Gouache. Icicle Stickles were added to the petals.

STAMPS: Seas of Life (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: Vintage Cream (PTI), Watercolor paper by Ranger.
INK: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, True Black, Weathervane, Prairie Grass.
DIES: Into the Blooms: Sunflower, Seas of Life (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER:  White cord; Icicle Stickles; Burlap; Rain drop embellishments.

That's a wrap for the weekend. Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda

I like how all of your elements came together so well...the anchor, burlap and the flower. Great card for a different purpose than most, and it inspires me to make some more "serious" cards to have on hand. Really nice card all around!! Thanks for joining us this week at Just Us Girls!
