Winging It With Tulips

As soon as I viewed the inspiration kitchens on Amber's Viva La Verve challenge, I knew I wanted to create red and yellow tulips. I've seen these tulips made with the wing of the 2 step bird punch by SU on several posts on Splitcoast. I have no idea who needs the credit for this idea, but isn't it such a quick and cute idea?! Just makes that punch so much more versatile! I sponged around each 'wing' using Vintage Photo distress ink to give it more definition. The leaves are from an old retired (yet one of my faves) set from SU. It's rainy and foggy here in VA but it's blooming tulips in my stamp room! Thanks for stopping to visit...

STAMPS: Verve 'Big Wish'(sentiment), SU 'Terrific Tulips'
PAPER: Sugar Rush & Cupcake DP by BasicGrey, White, Vellum
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink, Old Olive
ACCESSORIES: 2-step bird punch, Sponge, Brads

Those retro kitchens are going to kill me LOL! Great take on the inspiration piece and sketch. I've been trying to talk myself out of this punch, but now there is another reason for getting it :D
