Wooden Star

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a card that I CASEd from Kelly
Lunceford's post shown HERE (see photo on right). I kept the layout pretty much the same and changed up colors, sentiment, etc. My starting point was stenciling the background using PTI's Geometric Snowflakes stencil. I used Sweet Blush ink (PTI) but think there was some distress pink ink in my blending brush so that the result didn't match Sweet Blush card stock. So...I hit my scrap pile and pulled a pink that matched better.

I'm entering this into the current Tic Tac Toe Challenge and am using the center vertical line of stencil, winter foliage and die cut. The star, bow and large oval were die cut from patterned paper from Tim Holtz' Christmas 8x8" pad.

Thank you, Kelly, for the inspiration!

STAMPS: Joyous Holiday (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, New Leaf, Aqua Mist, Classic Kraft, Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean, Dark Chocolate (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne (Tsukineko).
PAPER: Tim Holtz' Christmas 8x8" pad; White (PTI); Bristol Smooth Surface.
DIES: Rustic Wood Star, Love to Layer: Ovals (PTI).
OTHER: Geometric Snowflakes stencil (PTI).

Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda
