Color Throwdown #405

Hello blog friends! It's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge and this week, Jodi is our hostess and has chosen this gorgeous pillow for inspiration.  Such a perfect summery and sunny combination!  Here's how I used these colors...

I smooshed Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn and a smidgen of Squeezed Lemonade distress inks on Ranger watercolor CS.  I added texture with Liquitex modeling paste and a Wonky Chevron stencil (MFT).  The paste wasn't as white as I wanted after it dried, so I "painted" on some Copic Opaque White with a small brush.  The daisies are a tiny stamp set by Altenew and are paired up with Verve's Simply Amazing stamp set with matching Amazing Adjectives die.  I used Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn distress inks for the flowers and leaves.

Congrats go out to Cheryl Espie of Link Crafty, our guest star stamper!  Be sure to stop and visit her blog!

To get all the details on how to play along with the challenge, please go to the Color Throwdown blog and check out the info on the right sidebar!  You can also check out the rest of the design teams' creations for more inspiration on the CTD blog.. or you can clink on their blog links below.
