PTI April Reveal Day #2

Welcome back to day two of the April release at Papertrey Ink! Items will be available to purchase on the 25th at 10pm EST. Today, we are introducing you to Vase Collection 17 stamps and dies + Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets dies + My Dad dies + Just for Dad stamps and dies.

My background was color blended with pink and green dye inks. The black and white striped piece is a tiny peek at the great new hot foil plate that the designers will showcase more about tomorrow. I thought the previously released "Quilted" cover plate die paired up well with the new pierced brackt dies.

My go-to sentiment option when I don't want to cover much up is to use a tiny tag.

STAMPS: Vase Collection 17, Tag-It Minis.
INK: Sparkling Rose, Grassy Knoll; Raspberry Fizz, Cracked Pistachio, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Lost Shadow, Weathered Wood, Black Soot distress inks.
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; White; Glimmer Specialty card stock.
DIES: Vase Collection 17, Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets, Tag-It Minis, Cover Plate: Quilted.
OTHER: Twine; Matte Black hot foil; Raising the Bar Hot Foil Plate;  Moonshine sequins.

This card shows how the new Just for Dad stamps work well with the T-shirt die that was previously released.

STAMPS: Just For Dad, Special Guy.
INK: Dark Chocolate; Misty Coast, Rocky Slope, etropolis, Mermaid Cove, Berrylicious, Persimmon, Peach Fuzz, Warm Buff.
PAPER: Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, Text-Style: Father Knows Best.
DIES: Baseball T, Just For Dad.

Next up is a card that highlights the great new My Dad die set that can be paired up with a variety of iconic images from Just for Dad.

I used some kraft corrugated cardboard and brushed several distress inks over it. This time I remembered to sponge the edges of the ripped banner. :-) The twine and the embossed silver "metal" panel all added some masculine textures.

STAMPS: Just For Dad.
INK: Peacock Feathers, Vintage Photo, Bundled Sage distress inks; Mermaid Cove, Misty Coast, Rocky Slope, Persimmon, Berrylicious; Fine Linen, Dark Chocolate, True Black.
PAPER: Silver metallic; Crimped kraft cardboard; Olive green from scrap pile; Classic Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream; Snap Color Vibe 6x6 patterned paper (Simple Stories).
DIES: Just For Dad, My Dad, Ripped Banner.
OTHER: Jute twine; Embossing folder (Cuttlebug).
That's a wrap for day two. Below is a list of new supplies used.

PTI April Reveal Day #1

Hard to believe another month has flown by and we are already introducing you to the April release at Papertrey Ink! It's all about dads, florals and many more spring/summer accessories!

Today, we are introducing you to Elegant Edges: Baroque dies + Inside Greetings: Celebration II stamps + A Little Rugged stamps and dies + Chevron Stencils + Ripped Banner dies.

My first card showcases the BEAUTIFUL new baroque edge die plus a teeny sneak peek at the new Into the Bloom flower dies! There are 3 dies to complete the edge and I chose not to cut them apart. So easy to get the edged outline dies spaced perfectly.

I used 4 different patterned papers that coordinate with each other. The flowers were cut from Bristol Smooth Surface paper then color blended with brushes and splattered with water after ink was dry.

STAMPS: Inside Greetings: Celebration II.
INK: Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise; Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry distress inks.
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; White; Painted Blooms 6x6 patterned paper.
DIES: Elegant Edges: Baroque; Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties; Love to Layer Squares.
OTHER: Moonshine sequins.

Now for a more masculine, rugged look! There are new chevron stencils (larger pair of horizontal stencils which I used here plus a smaller scaled pair of vertical stencils).

I added a "ripped banner" die that I color blended and only after I assembled everything did I realize I forgot to sponge the edges! 😞 I tucked in some leaves - also from the Into the Blooms die set.
STAMPS: A Little Rugged, Tuck-It: Dad.
INK: Bundled Sage, Vintage Photo, Speckled Egg, Old Paper, Antique Linen distress inks; Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse.
PAPER: Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate.
DIES: A Little Rugged, Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties, Charming Tag, Ripped Banners.
OTHER: Stitched rounded rectangle die; Jute twine; Chevron stencil horizontal.

Color Throwdown #739

Happy hump day and welcome to a new Color Throwdown challenge! Vickie is hosting this week and has celery green, yellow and aqua as our colors. I went back into my PTI archives and went with the Abundant Blooms set and made it a mini slimline size.

I die cut all the florals and pitcher from Bristol Smooth Surface paper then stamped the images. I wanted some greenery in the background, so chose two dies from the Into the Blooms: Dahlia set and cut them from leftover green paper in my overflowing leftover bin and sponged them lightly.

STAMPS: Abundant Blooms, Tiny Blooms (sentiment).
INK: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron distress inks; Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne pigment ink.
PAPER: Aqua Sky (Concord & 9th); White (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Abundant Blooms, Tiny Blooms, Into the Blooms: Dahlia, Love to Layer: Ovals; Mini Slimline Essential Bundle (Pinkfresh Studio).
OTHER: Dew drops (PTI); Jute twine.

We'd love to have you play along with us! Happy stamping! ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #738

Welcome to another Color Throwdown challenge! Lynn is hosting this week and has some fabulous new colors: yellow, mint, dark green and white! I took the cue from the wreath in the photo and went with Gina K Designs Wreath Builder Bundle to create a birthday card.

I stamped the wreath using the 3 3/4" template and dye inks from Pink Fresh Studio: Sunshine, Marigold, Mint, Emerald City, Evergreen.

PAPER: White, Bright Buttercup, Pinefeather (Papertrey Ink).

DIES: Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

OTHER: Bubble Blower embellishment mix (Trinity Stamps).

It's my birthday today and I'm so glad that temperatures are climbing some again! We had frost warnings over the weekend with temps down to 30 degrees! Couldn't believe I was wearing a turtleneck top plus cardigan sweater plus a light jacket on Easter Sunday! :-(  Have a great day and I'll be looking for you in the throwdown gallery!  ~Wanda

Paper Players Challenge

It's been awhile since I've posted. We had out of state company over Easter weekend so things were quite busy. I'm entering this card into The Paper Players challenge to use pastel colors. It's the first time I used these stamps/dies/stencils from The Greetery and am loving them!

Unfortunately, I didn't keep a list of ink colors but they were all dye inks from Pinkfresh Studio with the exception of my fave black pigment ink - Versafine Clair Nocturne.

STAMPS: Floral Arches, Arched Sentiments (The Greetery).
INK: Pinkfresh Studio dye inks; Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: White, Bitty Big: Harvest Gold (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Floral Arches (The Greetery); Blueprints 27 (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Floral Arches stencils (The Greetery).

Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Wanda
