More Triangle Trees

Yesterday, I posted a card using the new Color Throwdown colors - red, aqua and silver - and today, I have another card using these same colors. I layered the Triangles Cover Panel over brushed silver cardstock.  I'll admit I prefer the white over white option better.  The trees and sentiment are from Reverse Confetti's Triangle Trees stamp set.  Some silver cording and 6mm jingle bells completed this quick and easy card.

Thanksgiving week is just around the corner. This week, Vickie has a fabulous color combo for us - aqua, red and silver - for the Color Throwdown Challenge! I have a clean and simple card for you since I'm also playing along with the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge! 

I once again used the Triangle Trees stamp set by Reverse Confetti...a fun contemporary tree design! (Note: At the time of my blog post, this set was OOS on the RC website but you might be able to find it on other sites that carry RC products).

(Reverse Confetti) paired with these trees.  I used SU inks - Coastal Cabana and Real Red - for two of the trees.  The third one was heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Freshly Made Sketches

 

TGIF though it's cloudy, rainy and only to go into the 40's today! That's still better than the snow and ice my traveling nurse daughter is experiencing in Omaha right now!  For me, it's a good day for laundry and stamping - lol! Linda has a great new sketch for us over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog and I couldn't resist playing along! I'll let you in on something...you'll soon be seeing a couple more cards using these triangle trees in this color palette.  You just might be seeing the next Color Throwdown color palette (hehe!).

I love embellishing Christmas cards with jingle bells (6mm), though they are not very mailer friendly!  I often place cards in mail boxes at church, so these usually qualify for that option. I used SU inks - Coastal Cabana and Real Red - for two of the trees.  The third one is embossed with All Night Media silver embossing powder. The stitched dies are by My Favorite Things. STAMPS: Triangle Trees by Reverse Confetti.

It's Wine O'Clock Somewhere

It's time again for a new Fusion Card Challenge and there is a wine themed photo for your inspiration and a great new sketch! You can choose one or the other...OR...you can combine both!  As you can see, I used both the sketch plus I was inspired to create a wine-themed card.

I went with My Favorite Things' Uncorked stamp set that pairs up well with their Wine Service Die-Namics.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye "Fancy That!" 6x6" paper pad.  The sentiment was white embossed using Altenew's Pure White opaque embossing powder.  A quick and easy card!

Unleash Your Joy

Lynn is hosting this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and we are to use slate blue, orange, brown and white. I thought these colors would be perfect to use stamps from My Favorite Things' fun Deck the Howls stamp set with matching dies! I was very skimpy with using orange but I did get it in there.  I am also using Julee Tilman's latest sketch for her renewed Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  This will be an every 2 week rather than every week challenge which gives you longer time to join in on the fun.

I went with patterned papers from Carta Bella's "Winter Fun" 6x6"

pad. I opted to use an open rectangle frame to allow more of the papers to show through.  This pup really makes me smile and isn't he handsome in his almost ugly paper pieced sweater - lol?!  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card paper.  This is my first choice of cardstock to use when coloring with Copics.  The snowflakes are from a set of 3 dies by Reverse Confetti. A couple of fun details were added with Glossy Accents to the nose and Clear Star Gelly Roll Sakura highlights on the ornaments.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge

I've had this card finished for two days and can't seem to get it posted on my blog for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! I finally inked up this new punny dog set - "Deck the Howls" - stamping it with my daughter in mind who is a big time lover of dogs and puns!

The patterned paper is from the "Say Freeze" 6x6" pad manufactured by Craft Smith.  The tiny scallop border edge die ("Edge Essentials") is by Reverse Confetti.  I stamped the images on X-Press It Blending Card paper then colored with Copics...adding some sparkle with a Gelly Roll Sakura Clear Star pen.  The trio of snowflakes are dies by Reverse Confetti.  

Now I need to color up more dogs to complete more fun Christmas cards!

Stock Your Stash

A new month means a new Stock Your Stash Challenge over on the Reverse Confetti blog! This month's theme is Holiday/Winter and that is perfect for me to build up my Christmas card stash!  I'm determined not to need so many last minute cards like last year!

I layered up two shades of green Leafy Wreath dies then added some images from the Christmas Candles stamp/die set by Reverse Confetti.  I added yellow Stickles to the flame and Glossy Accents to the holly berries. Everything was colored with Copics. The patterned paper is from RC's Very Merry 6x6" pack.

It's another rainy, gloomy day in VA but I'm looking forward to some time with two grand kids in a couple of hours!  Thanks so much for stopping by...
