Color Throwdown #611

Is it my imagination or are these weeks flying by? September seems to be an unusually busy month and it's time again for a new Color Throwdown challenge. I love these earthy colors chosen by our host for the week - Amy Rysavy - which were so perfect to highlight this new bird die and greenery from Ink to Paper's September release!

I had this card base prepared many months ago by layering a number of Pierced Feature Frame dies (Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink) overlapping each other to create a geometric tone on tone textured look. I cut out all of the bird die parts from white cardstock, then color blended them with brushes. The evergreen boughs were stamped then sponged with two shades of green ink. In hind sight, I'm not sure if I like the rounded corners. Anyway...it's a clean and simple design and added another thank you card needed following my father's memorial service.

STAMPS: Tree Essentials, Just Sentiments: Warmth (Ink to Paper).

PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Classic Kraft (Ink to Paper).

INK: Classic Kraft, Weathervane, True Black, Canyon Clay, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse (dye inks by Ink to Paper).

DIES: Pierced Featured Frames, Tree Essentials, Feathered Friends 4 (Ink to Paper).

That's it for now. Sure would love to have you play along with us!

                                                      Happy stamping!         ~Wanda
