ITP May Release Day #2

Hello again and welcome to day #2 of the May release introductions! Yours truly is doing the feature post over on the Ink to Paper blog today, so be sure to hop on over there and see what all the other designers are creating as well! We are introducing Floral Delicacies stamps/dies + In Stitches: Back Pocket dies.

I have three cards to share and the first is my favorite! I love the diamond die set that reminds me of a garden trellis (you will see more details when it is introduced on Thursday). I think it pairs so well with these fun new florals!

I love that this stamp set introduced me to a flower called allium - commonly known as Ornamental Onion. It is found in many different colors and can be in shades of purple, pink, blue, yellow, or white. I even took license to create some red allium on my next card. The bottom line is that this stamp set is VERY versatile when it comes to color options!

 SUPPLIES

STAMPS: Floral Delicacies, Blossoming Branches
INK: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, True Black
PAPER: Soft Stone, White, Bitty Big: Pale Peony
DIES: Floral Delicacies, Border Bling: Diamonds

My second card pairs the flowers with this fun In Stitches: Back Pocket die. I have more ideas for its use in the future since the larger pocket is the perfect size to use as a gift card holder.

After stamping the first step of the flowers with Pure Poppy ink, I white embossed the second step stamp then added Black Enamel Accents to the centers. The rivets were cut from shiny card stock and white card stock was layered behind the three different parts of the pocket. The small dotted swiss pattern of the patterned paper echoes the stitching dots.

I didn't want to cover up the leaves with the sentiment label, so chose to go with gold embossing on vellum. It also softens up the starkness of the colors. I elected to round off the corners which also softens the look of the card. I use "hello" sentiments pretty often when I'm building up my card stash because it can go with so many different occasions.

This last card uses a purple color theme and again you see the border die that will be introduced in a couple of days.

More white embossing is happening here. Some of the leaves were stamped directly on the card base and others were die cut and popped with foam tape.
