Fusion Challenge

I created this quick card for 2 challenges: SCS Ways To Use It challenge to use the theme "April Showers" (note the "shower" of gold color shine in the background) and for the Fusion challenge where I incorporated elements from the photo (elegant shine and florals) with the sketch.  I spritzed gold color shine on the card background after lightly stenciling the splatter design with Falling Star ink.

STAMPS: Bitty Bouquets (PTI), Banner Blast (SU).
PAPER: Lemon Tart (PTI), Snow White Linen CS (PTI), Metallic gold CS, White (PTI).
INK: Bo Peep, Beanstalk, Blossomsberry, Falling Star - Pure Color inks by WPlus9.
ACCESSORIES: Scribble Circle die (PTI), Bitty Bouquet dies (PTI), Banner punch (SU), Gold button (SU), Heidi Swapp gold color shine, TCW Mini Texturized stencil; Stitched rectangle die by
Lil' Inker Designs.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge

The MFT Challenge and Inspiration blog has a great sketch for this week...perfect for a baby card I need to get in the mail!  The stitched die cut panel was cut from PTI's new white linen CS (love the subtle hint of texture).  The base is Sno Cone CS from MFT and patterned papers are from Echo Park's Bundle of Joy 6x6 pad.  I stamped the elephant twice so I could cut out his ear to pop with a foam dot.  Thanks for stopping by...

STAMPS: Beautiful Baby by MFT.
INK: Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip by SU.
DIES: Stitched circle and rectangle by Lil' Inker Designs; Baby sentiment by PTI; Beautiful Baby die set by MFT.

Color Throwdown

Check out these gorgeous colors that our hostess Barbara has chosen for the new Color Throwdown Challenge!  It's been awhile since I've used my ghetto stencil to do the bokeh technique, so I refreshed my memory with Dawn Woleslagle's YouTube tutorial HERE

I started with TH watercolor cardstock and did a water wash with some orange, blue and a wee bit of brown shades of Pelikan water colors.

After that dried, I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die by Lil' Inker Designs.  I used Ripe Persimmon and Crushed Olive distress inks to stamp the poppies and leaves.  A layered black and gold die cut sentiment (Wet Paint by PTI) and a trio of Citrus Blend sequins by Avery Elle topped it off.

Blog Candy Winner

Good Monday morning everyone! Just wanted to post that Amy Tsuruta is my blog candy winner after random.org picked #31! Thanks to all for all the kind comments on my Light It Up Blue autism awareness card! I only got to comment on about 55 cards but hope to still visit all the blogs since this was such a special hop.  With working and Easter preparations and celebration, there just wasn't enough time to get it all done.

Looking Back at NCC March Release

Today we are looking back at North Coast Creations March release. I'm bringing you another card using the Warm My Heart stamp set - so perfect for coffee lovers!  I'm also using ODBD Beautiful Borders die and Ornate Hearts dies.  I added Glossy Accents to the fussy cut heart and the tiny stamped heart on the sentiment banner.  A trio of clear sequins were the finishing touches.

My second project (using the same stamp set) is a little tie-on gift card holder made using an envelope punch board.  I only scored 3 of the 4 sides using dimensions for a 3"x 3" card.  The insert was punched using the next smaller size that's printed on the punch board. The sentiment was die cut using ODBD Mini Tags die

Mojo Monday

It's the first Mojo Monday Challenge of the month, so you know what that means?  It's contest time where you get a chance to win some Verve stamps!  Check out all the details on the Mojo Monday blog!  I kept my card very clean and simple this time...

I started with some beautiful Heidi Swapp papers I picked up at Michael's the other day.  They were meant for a planner, but they work for cards as well!  I recently purged my patterned paper packs and donated a grocery bag full to our art department at the rehab center where I work.  You'd think I would know not to buy more but I couldn't resist these colors! :-)  The sentiments are from Verve's Wings of Love set and the butterflies and stitched circle dies are by Lil' Inker Designs.  As one local lady always likes to say...this was easy peasy! :-)

For more inspiration, check out the other mojomakers' creations by clicking on their blog links below OR you can go to the Mojo Monday blog and the first 8 thumbnails will be the mojomakers' cards.

Easter Hello

I was needing at least one more Easter card, so this little chick from The Tweet Life (love this adorable set!) fit the bill perfectly when I saw the new Sketch For You To Try Challenge over on the Reverse Confetti blog! I had a scrap piece of watercolor paper on which I had previously blended some Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed distress inks. This was my first time using Reverse Confetti's new Folded Tag die and yes...it can be opened to find a little "hello" message inside!

On a side note...if you like this designer paper then be sure and scroll down to my Light It Up Blue for Autism Awareness blog hop card and leave a comment.  I'm giving away blog candy and a new pad of this paper is part of it!

Here's my enabler's list:
STAMPS: The Tweet Life (Reverse Confetti).
PAPER: Craft It Flora by Recollections, White by PTI.
INK: Cockleshell by WPlus9 (flowers), Versafine Onyx Black.
ACCESSORIES: Fold Tag, Double Banner, and The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts; Baker's twine; Stitched rectangle dies by Lil' Inker Designs; Copics.
