Glitz and Glitter

On the Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS, Cathy has challenged us to use glitz and glitter. Just when I think I'm finished with my card list, I think of more names and I'm into my glitter pot once again! I can't seem to capture the glitter in a photo, but trust me...the edges of the poinsettia were sponged with Pink Pirouette ink, then glittered with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and a glue pen.  The glittery circle shapes were a clearance bargain I found at my last excursion to Michael's.  Lots of die cuts combined here with one wee sentiment from Verve's "Peace on Earth" set.

What else did I use?
PTI Cover Plate: Quatrefoil Die, Persian Motifs by Spellbinders, Poinsettia dies by SB, Die-Namicis Fishtail Flags STAX by MFT.

Rum-pa-pum-pum

I still needed a card for my middle drummer son and this digi image by Mo Manning was the perfect fit! I'm also playing along with Korin's Sketch Challenge on SCS. Lots of Copics used on this...too many to list as it would be Christmas by the time I typed all those letters and numbers - lol!  Love the font on this sentiment from Verve's "Joyous Noel" set.  Paper is from Recollections' Holly Day Wishes 6x6 pad.
*Edit alert!  I have now colored the poor dog's nose!  Sheesh!  How did I go through all the photo process and not notice that before I posted?!!

Thanks for stopping by...

Timeless Tuesday Ornament

For the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, Maki is challenging us to create a 3D item or ornament that can be hung on a Christmas tree.  Since I can't seem to get enough of this snowflake die with the glitter CS from SU...I went with it...again!  The picot circle layer is Pacific Point CS then layered with a circle of DP from the Patterns Stack Designer Collection of DP - also from SU.  The sentiment is from Flourishes' Petals and Peace set.  The hanger consists of silver cording glued to the inside of a folded tab made with a SU punch. This is the 200th challenge for Timeless Tuesday!

While I had my camera in hand, I decided to take some more photos of some Christmas decorations around the house...
FAMILY ROOM
 TREE CLOSEUP
DINING ROOM DISPLAY
CRECHE
BIRDHOUSE AND SNOWMAN

So, that's a wee glimpse into our humble abode! :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

Warm Thoughts

Good Tuesday morning! I'm waiting for the piano tuner to arrive and thought I'd post the card I made late last night for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge on SCS. The destination is Terry, husband of sweet Charlene Merrick - a fellow stamper and dirty girl, who is facing quite a list of health problems! The teapotters are hoping to bring him some cheer while he waits for a kidney to become available.   Cindy (aka Mothermark) has come up with a fun group of challenge options based on Clint Eastwood movies! My DH is a huge Clint fan, so these movies were all very familiar ones to me! I chose #5 Pale Color (aka Pale Rider) and #7 Two Tools for Teapot Tuesday (aka Two Mules for Sister Sarah) - the corner chomper and the Big Shot!  This card is very similar to another one I did within the past week.  I just LOVE this glittery CS from SU with its huge amount of sparkle...and it's not glitter that falls off and stays on ME the rest of the day - lol!  I colored the cool dude with Copics, then fussy cut and popped on foam dots.  Yes, I did add a wee bit of glitter to his edges.

Mojo Monday

It's another Monday which means it's time to get your mojo flowing! Carole Burrage has a great Mojo Monday Sketch this week...simple and open to so many different interpretations! I flipped it to the side and scrunched up the 3 heart elements so I could add a sentiment to the panel.  I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the middle heart outline.

You don't want to miss seeing the other great cards by our fabulous team of mojomakers!  Check them out HERE and then take a break from all the hectic pace of the season and join in the fun!

Warm Thoughts

It's been a relaxing Sunday with church...lunch...football...and now some stamping! I wanted to play along with the Retrosketches Challenge - a simple layout and perfect for showing off my new cool chum from Paper Smooches!  Kim's images always make me smile!  I colored with Copics and added some glitter to the pompom and edges of the snowman's body.  The snowflake was die cut using SU's Bigz Snow Flurry die on their Silver glitter CS...such awesome paper IRL!  I rounded the corners to soften up the look of the card.

STAMPS: Freezy Fellas (snowman) and Sentiment Sampler (sentiment) by Paper Smooches
PAPER: Blue Christmas by Recollections, White (PTI), X-Press It Blending Card
