Colorful Options

 

A new (to me) challenge is Colorful Options, so I decided to play along and enter a needed sympathy card (which I combined into a Christmas greeting). One of my favorite holiday floral die sets is the Into the Blooms: Swag by Papertrey Ink.

 

STAMPS: Inside Greetings: With Sympathy (Papertrey Ink).

INK: Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Ocean Tides, Pinefeather, Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne.

PAPER: Noel 6x6 pad (Teresa Collins); Pure Poppy, Stamper's Select White (PTI).

DIES: Into the Blooms: Swag, Love to Layer: Arches (PTI); Blueprints 27 (My Favorite Things).

The wind is howling but I must run errands and finish wrapping some gifts. All before grands get off the bus at our house at 3:30. Here is a photo of our tree before any gifts are placed under it. The topper was made by me after watching some YouTube tutorials. Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda

 

Colorful Options

 

This is my first time playing along with the Colorful Options challenge! We are to play with red so it was a perfect way to use some new stamps/dies/stencils from Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th. I cased one of Kristina's release day card pretty directly, so need to give her the credit for the layout.

I started by stenciling the small red rectangle using Pure Poppy ink over Pure Poppy card stock.The striped strip was stamped with Pinefeather ink over Vintage Jadeite paper. The berries and leaves were color blended then inlaid onto the outline frame die of the sprig. A touch of silver metallic was added with the die cut bow.

STAMPS: Merry Greetings Builder (Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th). 

INK: Pure Poppy, Pinefeather, Scarlet Jewel (Papertrey Ink); Versamark.

PAPER: Classic Kraft, Pure Poppy, Vintage Jadeite, Stampers Select White (PTI); Metallic Silver.

DIES: Merry Greetings Builder, Winter Berries Stem Layering, Gift Bows (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th).

OTHER: Berries & Leaves (Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th).
