Creative Worship Stamps Guest Designer

Well, it's hard to believe March has already passed us by and that  means my time as a guest designer for Creative Worship Stamps is over! Thanks again to CWS staff (Esther Asbury was my talented go-to person for questions...thank you!). For my last card, I made a feeble attempt at background collage. I'm going to persist until I get to a better outcome as I really love this look! CWS has some really awesome Texture Styles stamps that help with this technique! Be sure to check out their store HERE.

STAMPS: Finch Collage, Be Encouraged, Texture Tiles 1, Texture Tiles 6 (Creative Worship Stamps).
INK: Antique Linen, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Ground Espresso, Black Soot distress inks.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things); Sentiment Suite Basics (The Greetery).
OTHER: Diamond mesh stencil (Creative Worhip Stamps); Green fringed trim; Jute twine.

That's a wrap for today and for March! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!  ~Wanda

This Blooming Tulips set is a favorite floral to color (I used Copics)! The sentiment is from the Rustic Easter set and the background script, & splatters are from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set - all by Creative Worship Stamps. If you look closely, you can spot the Diamond Mesh stencil in a light moss color.

Tag Card

I am playing along with two challenges:

Just Us Girls #815 - It's mood board week and I was inspired by the black background with pops of bold floral colors. *Oops! This challenge is past the deadline. :-(

Freshly Made Sketches #729 - a fun layout by Amy.

STAMPS
: Texture Tiles 1 (Creative Worship Stamps).
INK: Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn distress inks; Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Brisstol Smooth Surface; Stamper's Select White, True Black (Papertrey Ink); Black & White Stripes (My Favorite Things).
DIES: Tag Sale #3, Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties, On the Edge: Scallops Collection, Stitched Florals (Papertrey Ink).
OTHER: Black jute twine.

I stamped the script and the mesh grid stamps from Creative Worship Stamps' Texture Tiles 1 set on the tag. Florals were die cut from Bristol Smooth Surface paper then distress inks were smooshed onto the pieces. I didn't add a sentiment for now. Sometimes I like to have a blank card to add a sentiment as needed.

It's a rainy day in Virginia. Good day to concentrate on some stamping classes I signed up for at Creative Worship Stamps!f  ~Wanda

Springtime Daisies

Once again, I'm using the Flowers In Bloom, Be Encouraged, and Texture Tiles 1 stamps from Creative Worship Stamps. I stamped the florals with black pigment ink then clear embossed the image and colored with Copics. If you struggle with splatters, the one stamp in this Texture Tiles 1 set will give you perfect splatters every time!

INK: Memento Tuxedo Black; Antique Line, Peacock Feathers distress inks.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I loved the unique layout for the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and just had to play along. I was in an earthy neutral mode and used scraps of patterned papers from Honeybee's Textiles & Textures Vintage pad. I die cut strips and adhered them to a rustic white panel then splattered with Ground Espresso distress ink. Some jute twine topped off this simple design.

STAMPS: Be Encouraged (Creative Worship Stamps).
DIES: Love to Layer: Rectangles (Papertrey Ink); Stitched Rectangles STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things); Diagonal Shortcuts (Concord & 9th).

That's all folks! Have a blessed day!  ~Wanda

Graduation Truck

I had a special request to create a graduation card for a young man who takes pride and joy in his black pickup truck. I went with Spellbinders large die of the month October for this fun way to "fill up" the rear of the truck with personalized items. Mindy Eggen has a fabulous 6 step stencil set called Scenic Drive that pairs up well with the truck.

Here's a view of the inside of the card-->

STAMPS: Congratulations Graduate, Hats Off (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Seaside, Sky Blue, Sunshine, Peach Fizz, Doe, Key Lime, Grassy Knoll (Pinkfresh Studio); Canyon Clay (Papertrey Ink); Versafine Clair Nocturne.

He Lives!

Two more weeks and Easter will be here and we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is another Easter card using stamps/dies from Creative Worship Stamps. I stamped the cross using a black pigment ink then clear embossed it and colored with Copics. I used some silver paint for the nails (the shine doesn't show up in the photo very well). I cut out multiple foliage die cuts and color blended with distress inks then arranged them behind the cross. The patterned paper is from a 12 x 12" page I've had for MANY years and do not know the manufacturer's name.

STAMPS
: Rustic Easter (Creative Worship Stamps).
INK: Versafine Clair Nocturne; Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio distress inks.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (PTI); Patterned paper - ? source.
DIES: Rustic Easter, Foliage (Creative Worship Stamps).
OTHER: Oval punches (Stampin' Up); Metal photo turn (American Crafts); Silver paint.

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

There is a fun new sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. STAMPS: Texture Tiles 1, Texture Tiles 6, Made New, Script Sentiments (Creative Worship Stamps).

Sew Many Stitches

Hello friends! I've got another card using stamps and dies from Creative Worship Stamps. I've had a large roll of adhesive backed trim (ribbon, rick rack, etc.) and decided to create a background using that trim along with some red paper strips that have stitches stamped on them. The Sew Many Stitches stamp set has a big variety of different stitches that add a fun element of texture to your cards! A trio of buttons along with a foliage sprig were added as embellishments.

STAMPS: Blooming Tulips - sentiment, Sew Many Stitches - used on several red strips (Creative Worship Stamps).
INK: Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Foliage (Creative Worship Stamps).
OTHER: Assorted fabric trim; Buttons.

CWS Blooming Tulips

Another design for my guest designer gig for Creative Worship Stamps this month. I kept it simple using the floating strips with acetate technique. It looks more dimensional in real life due to popping up the strips and acetate with foam tape. The papers in the Ink Drops Candy 6x6 pad by Craft Consortium are absolutely gorgeous and I didn't want to cover up much of it. I colored the tulip with Copics after stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card.

STAMPS
: Blooming Tulips (Creative Worship Stamps).
DIES: Blooming Tulips (Creative Worship Stamps); Nested Circle (Art Impressions).
OTHER: Gold gems (Creative Worship Stamps).
COPICS: RV63, RV52, RV55, Y13, G40, G43, G82.

Spring Brights

There's a great new inspiration photo for the Inspired By challenge! I was inspired to use the colors and have a main focus on the stripes. It's been a long time since I used this butterfly cover plate die and thought it would be perfect to add to the strips in the background. I'm planning to send this to an elderly man who had  major surgery recently to let him know we are thinking of him.

The sentiment was popped up on foam tape for added dimension.

STAMPS: Beautiful Banners (Reverse Confetti).
INK: Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Harvest Gold, Lovely Lady, Melon Berry (Papertrey Ink); Pool (Foiled Fox).
DIES: Simple Strips (Pretty Pink Posh); Cover Plate: Butterfly Hope (Papertrey Ink); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

Creative Worship Stamps

Hello friends! Here is another card for my guest designer time for Creative Worship Stamps. I love this sweet stamp/die set called Flowers In Bloom and I paired it with another favorite set called Texture Tiles 1 where I used the grid stamp with Saltwater Taffy, the splatter stamp with Peeled Paint and Ground Espresso and the script stamp with Antique Linen. It's so easy to create a collage background using these textured tile stamps!

I like to emboss the stamp outline with clear powder as it makes it easier to stay in the lines when you color with Copics. I popped the florals up with foam tape and adhered it to a piece of crimped kraft paper with torn and sponged edges. I added double loops of jute twine and some sequins for embellishments.

STAMPS: Texture Tiles 1, Flowers in Bloom (Creative Worship Stamps).
INK: Saltwater Taffy, Ripe Persimmon, Antique Linen, Ground Espresso, Peeled Paint distress.
PAPER: Rustic White, kraft, Bristol Smooth Surface, X-Press It Blending Card.
DIES: Flowers in Bloom (Creative Worship Stamps).
COPICS: Y15, YR04, BG11, BG32, BG45, G24, G40.
OTHER: Jute twine; Crimper.
