Word Art Wednesday

Welcome to another Word Art Wednesday challenge! This one focuses on I Thessalonians 5:16-17 and is sponsored by Seth Apter Designs. Seth Apter is a mixed media artist, instructor and designer so I wanted my card to include some mixed media elements.

I printed the verse after reducing it to 65% of the size. I then used a Ripped Banner die to cut the sentiment and a Love to Layer: Torn Edges die to cut the base layer. Edges were sponged with Brushed Corduroy distress ink. It's not real noticeable, but I stenciled a tea stain look on the base torn edges layer. I used a crimped frame and added some light modeling paste to the frame. A banner of frayed burlap and some jute twine and button were added elements of texture. A sweet little bird and some floral accents finished it up.

INK: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Harvest Gold, Fine Linen, Dark Chocolate, Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Limeade Ice, New Leaf (PTI); Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy distress (Ranger).

PAPER: Vintage Cream (PTI).
