The Paper Players challenge has a new sketch by Joanne. I kept my card clean and simple with only one layer...a rarity for me! I started with some beautiful marbled patterned paper by Craft Consortium. I then stamped the sentiment and florals with black pigment ink and used clear embossing powder to set the ink right away plus it gives a hint of shine.
The florals were painted using distress inks.
STAMPS: Thank You Florals (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Versafine Claire Nocturne (Ranger); Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive distress inks.
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; Stampers Select White (Papertrey Ink); Ink Drops - Candy 6x6 pad by Craft Consortium.
DIES: Thank You Florals (PTI); Slanted Short Cuts (Concord & 9th); Blueprints 27 (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Moonshine sequins (PTI).
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! ~Wanda

Wanda... absolutely love your sparkly florals! So glad you are sharing your card sketch with The Paper Players this week! Between us, how do you see this as a one layer card? Of course this sketch required multiple layers. I am just curious... maybe my definition is wrong. I consider a one layer as a card that uses the card front only. Yours would be five layers technically with my definition... card base (1), 2 DSPs (3), sentiment strip (4) and those fun roses (5+). If you get a chance, drop me a line. I would love to understand your definition. Thanks!
I'm loving the sparkle and shine on your card today Wanda - your florals compliment your marbled papers beautifully. Thanks for playing along with my sketch challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
What a gorgeous mix of soft swirl and shine. The florals are so prettily colours and the sequins are a great addition. Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players.
