CAS Ribbon Design

I remember the day when I thought I had to add ribbon to nearly every card I created. Now I rarely use it! The CAS Challenge on SCS is asking us to use ribbon, but I decided to leave the bulky bows behind and went for a striped background instead.  I took a scrap piece of white CS and placed scor-tape over it about 1/4" apart.  Then came the fun part of choosing and laying down the ribbon!  With the exception of the stitched dies by Lil Inker Designs, everything else is a PTI product.

To get perfect placement of the sentiment, I used my new, favorite stamping tool - the MISTI.  You may have heard discussions as to whether or not people NEED this tool (the acronym is Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented) and I say every stamper needs it!  :-)  I especially love it's function for large background stamps to ensure you get even coverage.  Enough of the sales talk - lol!

STAMPS: Bitty Bouquets (PTI), Swoosh (PTI).
PAPER: Hawaiian Shores (PTI), White.
INK: Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango.
ACCESSORIES: Satin ribbon by PTI, Stitched rectangles and circles dies by Lil Inker Designs, MISTI tool.

Fabulous card and great idea for use of the ribbon! I know I've got boxes of it I could get rid of and seldom use anymore!

Love this colorful design! What a great way to use ribbon too. I've got tons of it and rarely use so I'll definitely remember this tip! And I just broke down and bought the MISTI! I've been watching so many videos about how great it is that I decided I couldn't live without it!
