MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Somehow, I never opened these sweet panda stamps and dies after ordering them many months ago! The My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge was perfect to get my mojo going.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card paper. It's my favorite for coloring with Copics.

STAMPS: Panda Pals (My Favorite Things).
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black.
PAPER: Valentine's Day 6x6" pad (Echo Park); Stamper's Select White; X-Press It Blending Card.

COPICS: Y08, Y13, BG000, RV00, C0, E33, E23, E25, YG03, YG05, YG17.

Freshly Made Sketches

Good Thursday morning friends! I'm finishing up this card for the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge where Judy has chosen a fun layout! I started with the leafy embossed background panel from my leftover pile. I then popped up a small circle and arranged some geraniums over and around it.

There was a small "oops" moment where the top right corner had a torn area when I removed some mint tape (you know the tape that has low tack and isn't supposed to tear your paper when you remove it?) :-( I turned the mistake around by placing the sentiment tag over it!

STAMPS: Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You (The Greetery).
INK: Unsure of distress inks since the florals were also leftovers from a project long ago.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, True Black, Bitty Big: True Black (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Sentiment Suite Basics (The Greetery); Into the Blooms: Geranium (Papertrey Ink); Stitched Ric Rac (My Favorite Things); Nested Circles (Art Impressions).
OTHER: Curving Leaves 3D embossing folder (Altenew).

Word Art Wednesday

Luke1:79 is the verse we are focusing on at Word Art Wednesday for the last challenge in January. I had a leftover "sunburst" panel in my stash that uses different triangles in a quilted look. I chose it because, to me, yellow represents "light" and gray represents "shadow" in the verse.  Be sure to hop over to the challenge post by Karen to be inspired by her devotional!

The sentiment was computer generated using Karen's great layout of the verse. I layered up multiple daisy dies after die cutting all the florals from white paper. I then color blended lightly.

PAPER: Breeze 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye; Stampers Select White (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Into the Blooms: Daisies (Papertrey Ink).

Red + Kraft

The current theme for the Seize the Birthday challenge is to use red + kraft. I started with this leftover panel that was foiled using a matte black foil. I'm making a conscious effort to whittle away and use up my sizeable extras/leftover pile, so this is a small start.

This large bloom die set from Papertrey Ink is a new favorite and so easy to line up and assemble. I've been reaching for it a lot lately. I cut the parts from white cardstock then color blend.

STAMPS: Tuck It Sentiments (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Bright Buttercup, Classic Kraft (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Classic Kraft, True Black, Stamper's Select White (PTI).
DIES: Into the Blooms: Big Bloom, Pierced Feature Frames (Papertrey Ink); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics, Blueprints 27 (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Matte foil; Pleasing Pineapple hot foil plate (PTI).

Sketch Saturday

It's a quick post before the football game between Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles gets going! Go Commanders!

My card uses a loose interpretation of the block layout for the new Sketch Saturday challenge. The florals are washi tape adhered to white cardstock then die cut then adhered to a stenciled background.

STAMPS: Chrysanthemum (Pinkfresh Studio.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink.
INK: Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Harvest Gold, Melon Berry (Papertrey Ink); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
DIES: Chrysanthemum (Pinkfresh Studio); Stitched Polka Dot Card Front (Concord & 9th); Skinny Frames: Diagonal Border (Papertrey Ink).
OTHER: Modern Rug stencil (Pinkfresh Studio).

Just A Note

Good frosty morning! It's a single digit temperature day this morning - calling for high of 23 that will feel like 17! Spring can't get here soon enough! It's a good day for crafting, so I pulled out leftover elements from a project last year and created this collage card for two challenges. Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge is a color challenge using red, aqua, white and kraft. I have a very subtle nod to the kraft color where I sponged the edges of the notebook

page using a linen ink color to make it look aged.   I'm also playing along with The Paper Players challenge which has the theme "Postman, bring me a letter". I realized later it is supposed to be a CAS design, so I think I flunked on that order!

STAMPS: Just A Note (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, True Black (PTI); Versamark.
PAPER: Stampers Select White, Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy (PTI); Metallic silver.
DIES: Just A Note, Border Bling: Tin Stitch, Love to Layer: Torn Edges (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Silver embossing powder; Notebook edge punch.
