Jen has another fun Sketch For You To Try challenge over on the Reverse Confetti blog! I'm anxiously awaiting her new release coming up on the 8th! Until then, I pulled out the Inner Rock Star set and paired it up with these great SU patterned papers from the Fresh Prints Designer Series paper pack. I love these 4 1/2 x 6 1/2" pads and hope they'll produce more packs in this size! The records were stamped in the coordinating colors: Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and Real Red. I used a 1" punch to punch them out. The guitar was fussy cut. Some wooden veneer embellishments and red jute twine along with Wink of Stella clear shimmer brush highlighting finished off this quick project. Thanks for stopping by! I'm eagerly looking forward to 4 days off work!

Color Throwdown
We have a really happy color combo for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and a super sun room photo for inspiration by our hostess, Vickie! I am chomping at the bit to be able to enjoy my own sun room again! Spring just doesn't want to make an appearance this year! We got walloped again with more snow on Monday, so my card was a big effort to think spring!
I had these two MFT stamp sets (and Die-Namics) for many weeks and never inked them up until now! How sad is that?! So, big thanks to Vickie for choosing colors that fit perfectly! I tweaked the sketch for MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge from 2/26 and went with a one layer card - popping up the leaves and sunflower with foam dots. I added Cinnamon Stickles to the center and the jury is still out if that was a good move.
We are thrilled to announce a new guest designer for the month of March! Welcome to Gloria Stengel! You will love her fabulous style on her Scraps of Life blog and I can't wait to see what she creates for CTD!

Fusion Sketch & Color Challenge
It's a br-r-r-r kind of day with temps in the single digits this morning! While still in my jammies, I headed to my stamp room and created this card using Karen Barber's awesome colors for the Color Challenge over on SCS - Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Island Indigo with the dessert option of using pearls! I combined it with the sketch from the current Fusion Card Challenge. I'm still struggling with lining up the stamps for the 3 step stamping that happens with PTI's Delightful Dahlia and the Delightful Dahlia Additions stamp sets. I think I mastered the large dahlia, but the smaller one still needs practice.
STAMPS: Delightful Dahlia (PTI), Delightful Dahlia Additions (PTI)
PAPER: Authentique "Pride", Island Indigo, Raspberry Ripple, White
INK: Not Quite Navy (closest I had to sub for Island Indigo)
ACCESSORIES: A2 Curved Borders One by SB, Pearls, Doily by SU, Leafy flourish Die-Namics by MFT, Dahlia dies by PTI.
Perfectly Peachy Retro Sketch
I'm playing along with two fun challenges - the Retrosketches Challenge
#104 and the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge with a "Perfectly Peach" theme (see inspiration photo). The layout is based on a previous card by Arielle Gordon. After I finished, I'm thinking it's more orange than the pinkish peach in the photo, but hopefully Stacey won't drop the curtain on me - lol!I had this leftover dahlia from a previous project and thought it paired up nicely with these "Mabel" papers from MME's Stella and Rose Collection.
STAMPS: Delightful Dahlia & Delightful Dahlia Additions (PTI)
INK: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade
ACCESSORIES: Dahlia dies (PTI), Fishtail Flags Die-Namics (MFT), Orange Peel Stickles, Button, Staples, Word Band (TH idea-ology), Jute twine, Martha Stewart Modern Garland punch.

Mojo Monday
Julee is bringing in the new month with a fabulous sketch for the Mojo Monday Challenge...check it out!
There are lots of spring birthdays coming up for me soon, so I
chose some spring colors and added these fun poppies, the trendy chevron arrow and the great birthday sentiment with the trademark mixture of fabulous fonts that I love about Verve stamps! I added some shimmer to the flower centers by using a Wink of Stella clear shimmer brush pen and then used black enamel to add dimension to the dots.
Because it's the first Monday of the month, that means it's contest time over on the Mojo Monday blog! One winner will be chosen for every 50 entries, so come and play along with us for a chance to win some Verve!
For more inspiration, check out the first 7 thumbnails on the Mojo Monday blog, OR...you can visit each mojomaker's blog listed below:

STAMPS: Poppy Birthday and Chevron Love - both sets by Verve.
PAPER: Simply Pastel (Recollections), White (PTI), Pistachio Pudding (SU).
INK: Versafine Onyx Black, Pistachio Pudding, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, VersaMagic Purple Hydrangea chalk ink.
ACCESSORIES: Corner Chomper, Build a Poppy dies by Verve, Citrus Blend sequins by Avery Elle.
Shades of Gray
A quick CAS creation for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge and
the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. I found this American Crafts 12x12 paper in my stash with reversible colors - the light, silvery gray on one side and this bold floral pattern in 2 shades of gray on the opposite side. The daisy was die cut on vellum and accented with a Rich Razzleberry button.
This is a first in awhile and can't believe it...but...I'm not adding any sequins - lol! It's past my bedtime, so have to call it a day! More snow is coming tomorrow, they say, but I have the day off and will look forward to lots of stamping time if I'm stuck at home!

It's ODBD Release Day!
It's March 1st, so that means the unveiling of a new release at ODBD! You probably have been seeing sneak peeks across blog land during the past week of the fun new sets, dies and papers now available in the ODBD store! I'm bringing you two cards using the Honeycomb Mini and Zinnia stamp sets in addition to the matching ODBD custom zinnia and leaves dies and some of the new Blooming Garden Collection paper!
I had fun layering up these zinnias after coloring with Copics. The bottom layer is die cut, then the next 2 layers were fussy cut and popped on foam tape. I added some clear Wink of Stella shimmer brush marker to the flower center and to the bees' wings. I sponged the leaves lightly after die cutting them.
If you don't enjoy coloring, this is a version where I simply stamped the image on colored cardstock and again layered the flower. Love this grungy Honeycomb Mini stamp that is peeking out from a corner in each of the cards!
Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers blogs to receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD stamps. You have until March 2, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EST to make your comments! The winners will be posted on the ODBD blog on March 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
