Color Throwdown #409

Hello throwdown friends!  September has already rolled around and before you know it, we'll be gearing up for Christmas!  Eeeekkk!!  Vickie is hosting and starting off the month with a really great color combo - yellow, black and blue - for the Color Throwdown Challenge! Guess the nurse in me immediately thought of a bruise description - lol - but then I got serious and knew I wanted to ink up these Flashy Florals.

I was inspired by the small gold polka dots in the blue squares of the quilt and went with gold metallic cardstock to die cut two leafy flourishes.  I added clear Wink of Stella marker to the Crushed Curry part of the flowers and added black and yellow Enamel Accents to the flower centers.  The tiny black clusters of dots are flower center stamps from MFT's Mini Modern Blooms set.  The sentiment is a stack of 3 die cuts to give it more substance similar to chipboard.

STAMPS: Flashy Florals (MFT); Mini Modern Blooms (MFT).
PAPER: Black and White 12x12 pad by Recollections; Black & White (PTI), Gold metallic CS.
INK: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry; Memento Tuxedo Black.
DIES: Flashy Florals and Leafy Flourish Die-Namics by MFT; Small Hello die by Simon Says Stamp.

We're thrilled to announce that Karren Johnson of KarenJ - Stamping Stuff is our guest designer for September! She's a regular participant at CTD and her cards are always amazing!  Welcome!

A bruise description - that's hilarious! Your card is beautiful - the black and white stripes behind that gorgeous arrangement adds such a modern and graphic look. PS: Thanks for the warm welcome - you're so sweet.
