On Top of the World

...is the name of this sweet digi image from A Day For Daisies!

I'm playing with A Day For Daisies Challenge #131 and The Paper Players Sketch Challenge using their awesome layout! I was inspired by the gradient coloring in the cake when I chose the designer paper for my card base layer.  The colors, as well as the gold accents in the inspiration photo, were also what inspired me in my card creation.  I smooshed some Dusty Concord distess ink on watercolor CS then die cut with a stitched rectangle die by Lil' Inker Designs.  The sentiment - small hello die by Simon Says Stamp - was cut twice from metallic gold CS.

This little snail is truly feeling like he's on top of the world and it makes me smile every time I see this sweet image!  After coloring with Copics, I fussy cut and topped it off with a heart button from SU's Sweet Dreams designer button pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's been awhile since I've played along with The Paper Players Sketch Challenge but I couldn't resist the current sketch which was perfect to pair up with SCS CAS Challenge to think spring!  After getting another foot of snow dumped on us yesterday, I am VERY ready to get into spring mode!

After gold embossing the circle scribble, I layered up some florals and accented with sequins.

STAMPS: Pretty Little Peonies (WPlus9), Circle Scribbles (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: True Friends 6x6 pad by Carta Bella, White (PTI).
INK: Little Piggy, Wild Mango, Beanstalk, Appletini by WPlus9.
ACCESSORIES: Pretty Little Peonies dies (WPlus9), Gold sequins by Avery Elle, Wet Paint die by PTI.

Sending Joy

I'm feeling joy this morning - both in my card's sentiment and for realz! :-)  I'm loving my new and improved computer hard drive that just zips me from one page to the next without any spinning rainbow wheel appearing anymore!  The Color Challenge on SCS is being hosted by Peggy and she has these awesome colors that would have worked for one of my gazillion floral images, but I stuck with my plan to whittle away at my Christmas card list and went with that theme instead.  The dessert option is to use triangles, so I went with this fun triangular tree die by Impression Obsession.  The plaid background was created using MFT Plaid Background Builder stamp set with Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Baked Brown Sugar inks.  Not sure why my Wild Wasabi ribbon looks so washed out in the photo! :-(  The sentiment is a die set by Lil' Inker Designs.  I'm also playing along with the  current Paper Players Challenge - a great sketch by Anne Marie.    Thanks for stopping by...

Paper Players & DTGD

It's been a beautiful Sunday with fun times at a family reunion, then home again for some stampy time! I'm using LeAnne's sketch (with a bit of tweaking) for The Paper Players Challenge and combining it with two more DTGD challenges on SCS.  The BG is the belleek technique where I brayered Pink Pirouette ink on my Victoria EF then inserted white CS and ran it through my Big Shot.  The image was watercolored using an Aquapainter and the following reinkers: Pink Pirouette, Summer Sun, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Soft Sky.  I attached the sentiment tag to the mason jar using jute twine.  Thanks for stopping by...will try to get another card done so I can catch up on the DTGD challenges!  Not sure I can get them all done, but will sure give it my best shot!

STAMPS: Garden Picks (Flourishes), Tiny Tags (PTI)
PAPER: Pink Pirouette, White
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black
ACCESSORIES: Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics by MFT, Tiny tags die by PTI, Rhinestones, Victoria EF, Brayer, Silhouette Cameo/cut file for image (Flourishes).

Easter Wishes

Another cold and wintry day with snow coming down fast and furiously while I'm coloring up a springtime Easter card! :-(  I created this for the Play Date Cafe Challenge that uses these  gorgeous colors and also for the Paper Players Challenge using this fun sketch by Anne Marie.

I inked up this new Flourishes' image using Memento Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card then colored with Copics.  The cream panel was embossed using a plaid patterned EF for some texture.  Papers are from a mystery pad - lol!  The cover is missing and I can't recall it's name.

Paper Players Challenge

I'm just under the wire with this new (to me) Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Loved this CAS layout by Jaydee and hope to play along soon!  I wanted to use the reverse paper design on this DP by Reminisce, so included two banner flags instead of one.  My shamrock was created by die cutting 3 hearts using SU's Framelits set, stitching down the middle and hand cutting a stem.  The sweet sentiment is by Verve - from the Blessings set.  Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  I'm off to run some errands and get some groceries on my day off.
