Color Throwdown

Check out these gorgeous colors that our hostess Barbara has chosen for the new Color Throwdown Challenge!  It's been awhile since I've used my ghetto stencil to do the bokeh technique, so I refreshed my memory with Dawn Woleslagle's YouTube tutorial HERE

I started with TH watercolor cardstock and did a water wash with some orange, blue and a wee bit of brown shades of Pelikan water colors.

After that dried, I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die by Lil' Inker Designs.  I used Ripe Persimmon and Crushed Olive distress inks to stamp the poppies and leaves.  A layered black and gold die cut sentiment (Wet Paint by PTI) and a trio of Citrus Blend sequins by Avery Elle topped it off.

For more inspiration, you can visit the design team's blog links below or you can go to the Color Throwdown blog to see everyone's creations there.
