Ink to Paper August Release Countdown Day #1

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the reveals for the August release at Ink to Paper! Today we are introducing you to Hello Pumpkin Stamp Set/Dies + Border Bling: Leaves Die + Inside Greetings: Halloween Stamp Set + Scaredy Cat Stamp Set/Dies + Hay Bale Dies + Just Sentiments: Halloween Stamp Set. If you haven't figured it out yet...fall is definitely in the air!

The border leaves die is fun to do an inlaid technique with different colored leaves! TIP: To make it easier, use an adhesive paper layer under the frame so no messy glue is involved. The images were double stamped and I like to use a couple of ink colors for the base image. On the pumpkins, I covered it with Orange Zest and added Canyon Clay to the shadowed areas. I used Canyon Clay ink again for the second stamping step and this defined the creases in the pumpkin. On the leaves, I mixed Spring Moss with Simply Chartreuse for Step 1, then used Ripe Avocado to stamp the veins of the leaf.

For my next card, I wanted to create a colorful background with inlaid pieces to the  Cover Plate: Herringbone die and loved the outcome!

This fun new hay bale die was cut twice with the detailed layer - once on Rustic Cream paper (with Classic Kraft ink added) and once on Classic Kraft (with Honey Nut ink added). I just slightly offset these layers on top of the base die layer and thought it gave a greater textured look. The pumpkin was colored with Copics. My two white pigment inks are not stellar performers, so I'm open to suggestions for your fave white ink brand!
