Ink to Paper September Reveal Day #2

Hi everybody! It's the second day of reveals for the September Ink to Paper release! I have a long post today with LOTS of projects, so get comfortable and enjoy! Today, we are introducing Take Your Place Kit Stamps and Dies + In Stitches: Pumpkin + Tree Essentials Stamps and Dies + On the Border: Fir Die + Sweet Orange Holidays Stamps and Dies.

I'll start with the Orange Holidays set which includes some layering stamps that give the images such a realistic look. The background was fun to create by smooshing distress inks then splattering with black ink.

STAMPS: Sweet Orange Holidays (Ink to Paper).

INK: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade distress inks by Ranger; Pure Black, Cocoa Bean dye inks by Ink to Paper.

PAPER: Stamper's Select White, True Black (Ink to Paper); Bristol smooth surface watercolor; Patterned paper.

DIES: Sweet Orange Holidays, Joy Everyday (Ink to Paper).

My second card uses the Tree Essentials set and the Fir border die. I started by die cutting the fir border from Rustic Cream CS then color blended it with a variety of green inks. TIP: Love this border but it's very intricate and will cut more effectively with a metal shim and turning it as you make several passes. The ornaments were paper pieced and the sentiment was gold embossed.

STAMPS: Tree Essentials (Ink to Paper).

INK: True Black, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Ocean Tides, Ripe Avocado, Fine Linen (dye inks by Ink to Paper); Versamark.

PAPER: Rustic Cream, Classic Kraft, Luxe Gold (Ink to Paper); Patterned paper.

DIES: Tree Essentials, On the Border: Fir.

OTHER: Gold embossing powder and cording.

Love this new stitching die which I thought would be fun to use with patterned paper! The twig frame and sentiment dies are both from earlier releases but pair up so nicely with the pumpkin. TIP: I cut the pumpkin pieces twice (I used kraft paper for the backing) to give it more substance for the stitching process. I used 3 strands of a dark brown DMC floss.

STAMPS: Framing Fall Sentiments (Ink to Paper).

INK: Dark Chocolate (Ink to Paper).

PAPER: Dark Chocolate, Rustic Cream (Ink to Paper); Patterned paper.

DIES: In Stitches: Pumpkin, Framing Fall Sentiments, Border Bling: Twigs (Ink to Paper).

There will be many photos coming up next for the Take Your Place Kit that has so many fun options! I don't know about you, but I enjoy decorating my table for guests - especially during the holidays - and this kit has you covered for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Let's first dress up those napkins - cloth or paper. There are different slot sizes that you can die cut for threading ribbon through the image. I embellished with some faux rosemary, twine, jingle bells, wheat stalks, etc.

Favors are always a fun treat at a place setting! Who doesn't like to top off their meal with a little chocolate?! I created these stand up favors by cutting two of the largest Charming Tag dies, scoring a 1/2" from the bottom and adhering the bottoms together with strong adhesive (I used Scor-tape).

Here is another quick and easy favor option using a small brown bag.

You have multiple options with these kit images and can use them on cards if you omit cutting the slots.

You will also receive a supply of cardboard coasters in the kit. This was something new for me, but after some Google searches...I opted to try Mod Podge to adhere the layers then added two coats and topped it off with a coat of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. This will be a glossy finish and will protect the coaster for multiple uses. You have to allow for multiple drying times with this method.

Another recommendation was to use a cold laminating technique with either an Avery product called Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets ( 9" x 12") or single-sided self-seal laminating sheets (8 1/2" x 11") by Scotch. There is no need for a thermal laminating machine with these products and there is no wait for drying time! I kept my designs very simple and clean.

Thanks for hanging in there and hope you can stop by tomorrow for day three reveals!
