Good day everyone! Hopefully you had an enjoyable holiday weekend! It's been a roller coaster ride for me with a Thursday trip to Ohio following the death of my father on August 30. The private burial and public memorial service were held on Friday morning then it was back to VA on Saturday. The common phrase I heard from everyone about dad was "he was a such a good man". Yes, he was! He will be greatly missed but he's in a much better place and it's where he longed to be for a LONG time. He was 94 and had lost so much independence and was in a nursing home with no visitors (except through a window since March) during all the COVID 19 saga. But...you aren't here to hear me ramble on about the loss of my dad. On to a card I really enjoyed creating using a fave set from Ink to Paper called Hello Pumpkin!
I feel so blessed to be part of the design team at Ink to Paper (this explains my choice of a card sentiment)! When Melissa Phillips emailed me to say she will featuring different DT members in the newsletter this month, I was asked to share about my life and to create a card using my favorite technique.
I think of my stamping style as "diverse" but will say that I generally use what I call the "rock n roll" technique on most cards! I like to add more than one ink color with my stamps...starting with the lighter shade then adding the darker ink to the stamp by rocking it lightly on the ink pad or by adding the darker color with a sponge dauber. You can see I did this with all of the pumpkins and leaves.
I love the non-traditional pumpkin colors that are so often seen in home decor and was totally inspired by a favorite local flower shop - The Flower Girl. Shelby is so talented and her little shop is filled to the brim right now with fall goodies. I'm stealing some photos she posted on FB to share with you.
STAMPS: Hello Pumpkin (Ink to Paper).
PAPER: Ocean Tides, Rustic Cream, Gentle Moss, Classic Kraft (Ink to Paper).
INK: Sorry, but I have misplaced my list of colors...but there were many! All dye inks by Ink to Paper.
DIES: Hello Pumpkin, Border Bling: Leaves, Border Bling: Tin Stitch, Skinny Frames: Diagonal Border - all by Ink to Paper.
I'm busy with creating lots of release projects this week. Ink to Paper will have their monthly release on the 15th and there will be sneak peeks Wednesday and Thursday on IG with reveals starting Friday, September 11. Have a great day! ~Wanda

Sounds like your father was a blessing, so sorry for your loss. Your card is a fantastic tribute to someone blessed!
Sincere condolences. You rang a bell with me with your posting. Anyway, love your card and the colors you used. Super well done!
I'm really sorry to hear about your Dad and you have my deepest sympathy. You have created something really lovely with your "Blessed" Card and I hope that getting back to your craft room will ease your loss.
Take care - Rachelle
