Hi everyone and welcome to another Color Throwdown challenge! Lisa is hosting this week and has some beautiful colors for us: light gray, aqua and navy! I am needing a big stash of masculine birthday cards this month, so it didn't take me long to decide to go with Ink to Paper's new nautical stamp set - Seas of Life - and a sentiment from the new Perfect Pairs Commodities set. Love the combination of the large script font paired with the regular type font.
I used a dual tipped blender brush by Nuvo which allowed me to quickly blend Tumbled Glass distress ink to the torn edge panel. I then stamped the water using Tumbled Glass and Weathered Wood distress inks then die cut using the Shape Shifters: Circle 1 die. The anchor and "happy" were embossed with silver embossing powder.
STAMPS: Seas of Life, Perfect Pairs: Commodities (Ink to Paper).
PAPER: White, Dark Indigo (Ink to Paper).
INK: Versamark; Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood, Chipped Sapphire distress inks (Ranger).
DIES: Seas of Life, Perfect Pairs Commodities, Love to Layer: Torn Edges, Shape Shifters: Circle 1 (Ink to Paper).
OTHER: Word window punch and detail silver embossing powder by Stampin' Up.
Hope to see you in the throwdown gallery! Happy stamping!
~Wanda
