Plaid Silhouette Daisies
Joan Ervin hosted an interesting new technique on the TLS this week: Plaid Silhouettes. I stamped this retired daisy image using Blush Blossom ink then tapped the edges of Riding Hood Red ink and Early Espresso ink to create the plaid effect. Fun and interesting look to solid images that are often difficult to ink up well! I combined this with Betty's Color Challenge: to use Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso & Blushing Bride. The twist was to use something new and my newest toy is the Corner Chomper. Love that it will chomp through several thicknesses of CS where my corner rounder barely cuts through a single layer. Nut Brown Flower Soft was added to the flower centers.
STAMPS: Decorative Daisy (SU)
PAPER: Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Neenah Solar White, Old Olive
INK: Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Blush Blossom, Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress ink (leaves)
ACCESSORIES: Corner Chomper, CB, Square Lattice EF, Scallop border punch (SU), Flower Soft
