First Rodent Sketch Challenge

Claire, from Waltzingmouse Stamps, has started a Sketch Challenge Blog and this week is the #1 sketch. I loved the simplicity of the layout and knew I wanted to keep the colors soft after going bold and bright with most of my cards this week. I paired up a couple of sheets from the beautiful DP in the Gossamer 6 x 6 collection by Memory Box. Thankfully, I'm not needing a sympathy card right now, but haven't inked up this Verve set in a long time and always loved the sentiments. I stamped off the fern stamp once before stamping it on the white circle. The ribbon is actually seam binding that was dyed using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pink Bubblegum, Cherub Pink & Dazzling Diamonds then crinkled by bunching it up in a plastic bag overnight. The sculpted sentiment tag is an idea I got from my good friend, Teresa Kline. She frequently uses them on her cards and I've always loved the look. This also qualifies for Julia's WT challenge on SCS to 'go buggy'...thanks to the crystal dragonfly that I added. This week is flying by and its Thursday already...thanks for visiting and commenting...

STAMPS: Forever in Our Hearts (Verve)
PAPER: Gossamer DP by Memory Box, Inc.
INK: Versafine Onyx Black
ACCESSORIES: Brads, Circle Nesties, CM circle cutter, Seam binding, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Prima, Dimensionals
