Freshly Made Sketches

Good day everyone! I had some leftover florals from a previous project and knew I could put them to good use for the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I pulled out a scrap of Vintage Jadeite paper and stenciled a subtle background using the larger Dotted Hexagon stencil from PTI.

The berries were sponged onto dots using Amethyst Allure ink. Leaves were shaded with Vintage Jadeite, New Leaf and Ocean Tides inks. Shades of pink and orange dye inks were used for the flowers.

STAMPS: Effortless Beauties (PTI).
INK: See description above.
PAPER: Stampers Select White, Vintage Jadeite (PTI).
DIES: Love to Layer: Rectangles; Into the Blooms: Wreath

Color Throwdown #777

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge with Lori hosting this week. Here is what I created using pink, red and navy!

Out came my favorite stencil - Wild Blooms - from Papertrey Ink. I am still needing thank you notes for all the acts of kindness shared with us as my husband is fighting multiple myeloma.

One of my all-time fave sentiments sets is this Perfect Pairs Essentials by PTI. Love the font of the larger words and the fact that there are many options for adding some smaller words to it.

STAMPS: Perfect Pairs Essentials (PTI).
INK: Enchanted Evening, Lovely Lady, Raspberry Fizz, Lemon Tart, Pure Poppy, Stormy Sea, Pinefeather (dye inks by PTI).
PAPER: White, Enchanted Evening (PTI).
DIES: Perfect Pairs Essentials (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Word punch (retired from Stampin' Up).

We'd love to have you play along with the challenge! Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #776

Happy hump day! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge where Lisa is hosting and has chosen blush, dusty blue and pink for our colors.

I was  inspired by the roses in the photo to use Into the Blooms: Roses dies from Papertrey Ink.

The background brick was stenciled with Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky dye inks by PTI. I color blended the roses using Sweet Blush and Pale Peony dye inks then highlighted with Crystal Stickles.

STAMPS: Effortless Beauties (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony (PTI).
PAPER: White, Blueberry Sky (PTI); Bristol Smooth Surface.

Seize the Birthday

Good Monday morning! It's a cold snowy day in VA and fortunately, we have no appointments or places we need to be today.
Our DIL has a milestone birthday in a few days, so the current Seize the Birthday challenge to use wet or dry embossing was perfect to get a card made.

I was inspired by a card on the Papertrey Ink website and decided to CASE it. I do not know the creator of the card since it didn't have a watermark. I changed up the background, used different flower dies, and personalized the birthday year.

STAMPS: Hooray, It's Your Birthday, Birthday Wishes Background, Cake Creations - all by Papertrey Ink.
INK: Hawaiian Shores, Vintage Jadeite, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, True Black; Versamark.
PAPER: Stampers Select White, Vellum (PTI); Flower Market 6x6" pad by Lawn Fawn.
DIES: Hooray, It's Your Birthday, Cake Creations, Into the Blooms: Wreath (PTI).
OTHER: White and Gold embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda

PTI December 2023 Surprise Box

It's that time of the month where the design team at Papertrey Ink gets to reveal creations using the monthly surprise box option. This month there is such a lovely assortment of accessories and florals to decorate this beautiful arch. It also includes stencils to a cobble or grassy path plus details for the swag.

I lightly blended some Vintage Jadeite ink onto the leafy border die. I think wedding and anniversaries are especially suitable for this box but the florals and urns could be used for any occasion which makes this a very versatile stamp/die/stencil set!

I used Rocky Slope dye ink from Pinkfresh Studio with one of the two stencil choices. Moonshine sequins were the only embellishment.
