Laurie's Fabulous Favorites

The Ink to Paper blog has a new Laurie's Fabulous Favorites Chellenge and this week we are to use glitter, sparkle and shine! I chose to use shiny details in the clear acetate layer of the jar, the metallic gold stripes and the tiny glossy black enamel flower centers.

I struggled big time to photograph this card to show the shine and couldn't seem to avoid any glare!  I brushed on some Daffodil Delight (SU) ink on the jar and the label was white embossed. You can refer to my tips on using the Ink to Paper Tag Creations: Joyful Jars stamp/die set HERE. Here's what else I used...

STAMPS: Joyful Jars (Ink to Paper).
PAPER: Love Story by Recollections; True Black, White by PTI.
INK: Daffodil Delight (SU); Versamark.
DIES: Tag Creations: Joyful Jars (Ink to Paper); Stitched Flags STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
MISC: Gold cording, Black Enamel Accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a great Thursday!

Fusion Card Challenge

It's time again for a new Fusion Card Challenge. You can use just the sketch or just the inspiration photo or you can fuse both together which is what I chose to do! I have to admit the hands/family theme stumped me for awhile, but I remembered that I kept an old Stampin' Up set (remember the days of wood blocks only?) called Kids Prints.

I created a patterned background by stamping the hand print with Falling Star, Little Piggy, Bo Peep, and Beanstalk - dye inks by WPlus9. The baby dies - Oh Baby - are from a baby set by My Favorite Things. The stitched edge - To The Point Edgers Die - is by Papertrey Ink.

We'd love to see how you are inspired by the new Fusion Card Challenge! Hope to see you in the gallery.

Color Throwdown #555

Happy hump day everyone! It's the day for a new Color Throwdown Challenge and Jodi - our hostess - has some gorgeous colors for us! When I saw pink, yellow, lavender and green...I knew I wanted to create a bouquet of daisies! It's fun to use the layering stamp method to see these florals come to life. There's something about summer daisies that makes me go for a gingham background!

STAMPS: Oopsy Daisy and Comforting Commands - The Greetery.
PAPER: Spring by Echo Park; White by PTI.
INK: Buttercup, Bumblebee Yellow, Sunshine, Sand - Reverse Confetti; Beanstalk, Last Leaf, Blossomberry, Cockleshell, Little Piggy, Shell Pink - WPlus9,
DIES: Pierced Feature Frames (Papertrey Ink); Oopsy Daisy and Comforting Commands (The Greetery).

We'd love to have you play along with us! For more inspiration, you can check out the great projects by our design team:

DTGD Goes Monochromatic

I couldn't resist another card for the DTGD challenge by whippetgirl on Splitcoaststampers! While I can't reveal the details because this special week is for fan club members only, you can easily join in the fun by checking out the link HERE. I had this paper pad - Vintage Finds by Teresa Collins - on my desk from a previous project and decided to use a couple of the saffron colored patterns for this one. I'm also using the great layout for the Sketch Saturday challenge.

STAMPS: Fleur Impressions, Sentiment Suite: Birthday - both by The Greetery.
INK: So Saffron, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar - by Stampin' Up; Memento Tuxedo Black.
DIES: Stitched Oval by Lil' Inker Designs; Stitched Sentiment Strips and Stitched Ric Rac by My Favorite Things; Fleur Impressions by The Greetery.

Daisies for DTGD

It's been such a hectic few days that I haven't been able to play along with any of the Dare To Get Dirty challenges on Splitcoaststampers! My first entry is for Smilyn Stef's challenge. I can't divulge details because this is for fan members of SCS only. You can find out about the details HERE if you are not already a fan member.

I loved layering up the stamping with this Oopsie Daisy set from The Greetery. I colored the Quart Jar die (from Papertrey Ink) with Copics and topped it off with some jute twine. The sentiment is from the Sentiement Suite: Birthday set - also by The Greetery.
Patterned papers are from an old 6x6" paper pad - Vintage Finds by Teresa Collins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!                  ~Wanda

Paper Players Back to School

It's theme week at the Paper Players Challenge and Claire has chosen to go with a back to school theme! Our oldest granddaughter is super excited to be starting kindergarten this year, so that's a special milestone for sure!  I remember the anxiety that I felt as our 3 children all started public school...such a big step in their life!

My go to stamps/dies for a school theme is the Class Act set by Reverse Confetti. Gotta love that polka dotted apple and mini notebook page! Sadly, this is on their retired list. Papers are from an older pack by Recollections. The mini library clip (Stampin' Up) is a perfect embellishment!

For more inspiration from the rest of the talented design team, please check out their creations HERE Hope to see you in the gallery! Have a blessed day!                         ~Wanda

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge

There's a great new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge that I'm playing along with using this adorable Mermazing set (from My Favorite Things) that recently came as happy mail! With two young granddaughters who both love the beach, I knew I'd get a lot of mileage out of this stamp set. I loved using MFT's Homespun Stitch Lines for the diagonal elements and can see this will be a new favorite border die set for me!

I colored the images with Copics and popped several of them with foam tape for added dimension.
