Inspiration Station

 

Thanks to my leftover pile, I quickly put this card together after being inspired by the floral branches in the photo for this month's Inspiration Station Challenge.

Special Thanks

It's Veteran's Day today...a day set aside to recognize all those who are or have been previously in the  military service. A special thanks was an appropriate sentiment for my card that was inspired by the poppies in the photo for the Inspiration Station challenge #79.

I started by stenciling a script and a mini tile texture background. The poppies were cut from water color paper and blended with a shades of red and a hint of pink and orange distress inks. The leaves were blended using Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint distress inks.
