Pocket Birthday Card

I've seen so many gorgeous pocket cards and decided to create a rather simple one for starters. I've stayed in touch with a close friend (since 5th grade). She's in Maryland and I'm in Virginia so it's mainly through FB, birthdays, Christmas, etc. that we share with each other. I had the surprise of a a lifetime when this friend traveled to my area for my husband's funeral service in May! That was such a special thing for her to do and I was over the moon to hug her in person again! She has a birthday later this month, so I wanted to send this card to her. I'm entering this into the Festive Friday challenge which is honoring National Friendship Day. I used the following elements: knotted ribbon, tag shape, friend sentiment, flowers, butterflies.

STAMPS: This is Big Sentiments: Celebrate, Fancy Floral Numbers (Papertrey Ink); Summer Collage Tag, Clipboard, Foliage Silhouettes, Blooming Tulips, Sew Many Stitches, Vintage Snippets (Creative Worship Stamps).

INK: Brushed Corduroy, Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Worn Lipstick distress; Versafine Clair Nocturne.

PAPER: Stampers Select White, True Black (PTI); Tea Party 12x12 paper (Stampin' Up); Matte silver.

DIES: Blooming Tulips, Tag & More, Film Strip, Stitched Pockets (Creative Worship Stamps); Fancy Floral Numbers, Keep It Simple Frames (PTI).

OTHER: Brads, Jute twine, crinkle seam binding, fancy paper clip, black lace, clear embossing powder.

My friend is an avid reader and quilter/seamstress, so thus the stitching element and the two tags that could be used as bookmarks.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  ~Wanda
