JUG CASE a DT

Good Thursday! It's time for a new Just Us Girls challenge and it's CASE a DT week. I instantly fell in love with Carol's card as her colors were so beautiful plus I love a postage theme!

On the left is Carol's lovely card that I CASEd. My card was not without some glitches...BUT...I made it work with a little extra effort! First, I stenciled the images backwards. That meant the postage die wouldn't fit so I had to individually match up each "stamp" section and cut them separately. Then I got adhesive smeared over an area and the gum eraser also moved some ink color. I camouflaged it with a tiny envelope die that was part of the wax seal set. Blunders usually mean you dig into your creative powers a little deeper - lol!

STAMPS: Postage Collage (Waffle Flower).
INK: Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Vintage Jadeite, Classic Kraft (Papertrey Ink); Versafine Clair Nocturne (Ranger).
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Sweet Blush, True Black (PTI).
DIES: Wax Seal, Postage Collage (Waffle Flower); Border Bling: Skinny Postage (PTI).
OTHER: Postage Collage Blocks stencil, Postage Collage Wild Flower stencil (Waffle Flower).
Before I sign off I just had to share a photo I took yesterday of our beautiful crepe myrtle! Recent storms had it looking pretty droopy but it perked up in the sunshine and is showing off for us all!

That's it for now...thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda

Your postage card is lovely and a great take on Carol's card with the soft colors and postage theme. I have had that happen to me before with using the stencil backgrounds (only 1 time though :) and I had to fussy cut it) Glad you persevered by die cutting each section individually.

Wanda this is FABULOUS!! I love that you were vulnerable enough to share your blunders, because ...same! I like the way you layered the stamps like they fell into a heap...so much movement! It makes me happy~
