A leisurely Sunday afternoon led to this card for two challenges. The Paper Players have a tic-tac-toe challenge this week and I went with the middle vertical row of something that flies, die cut and layers. I was also inspired by the colors for the Sunday Stamps challenge.
I started by stenciling a tartan plaid background. I then layered a rick rack frame and a diamond die shape.
INK: Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Summer Shower, Seaside (Pinkfresh Studio); New Leaf, Enchanted Evening, Classic Kraft, Cocoa Bean (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, New Leaf (PTI).
DIES: Opposites Attract, Jumbo Curiosity: Dragonfly (The Greetery); Love to Layer: Scalloped Diamonds, Border Bling: Skinny Ric Rac (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Dragonfly stencil, Tartan Builder Diagonal stencil (The Greetery).
That's a wrap for now. Have a great week! ~Wanda

What an eye-catching card, Wanda! The dragonfly certainly "pops" against the greens and blues of the plaid you created. The diamond-shaped scalloped die cut is a perfect landing spot for it and the sentiment. I LOVE how the rickrack frames it all. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players!
What a wonderful plaid background. What sparked my interest from the gallery was that wonderful dragonfly. Love it. Thanks for playing over at Sunday Stamps.
Love this design with the plaid, rick rack and the diamond panel in the middle. But of course, the star of the show is the pretty dragonfly. A very sweet birthday card, Wanda! Thank you for playing along with the Paper Players this week!
