Hard to believe another month has flown by and we are already introducing you to the April release at Papertrey Ink! It's all about dads, florals and many more spring/summer accessories!
Today, we are introducing you to Elegant Edges: Baroque dies + Inside Greetings: Celebration II stamps + A Little Rugged stamps and dies + Chevron Stencils + Ripped Banner dies.
My first card showcases the BEAUTIFUL new baroque edge die plus a teeny sneak peek at the new Into the Bloom flower dies! There are 3 dies to complete the edge and I chose not to cut them apart. So easy to get the edged outline dies spaced perfectly.
I used 4 different patterned papers that coordinate with each other. The flowers were cut from Bristol Smooth Surface paper then color blended with brushes and splattered with water after ink was dry.
STAMPS: Inside Greetings: Celebration II.
INK: Limeade Ice, New Leaf,
Simply Chartreuse, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Lemon Tart,
Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise; Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry
distress inks.
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; White; Painted Blooms 6x6 patterned paper.
DIES: Elegant Edges: Baroque; Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties; Love to Layer Squares.
OTHER: Moonshine sequins.
Now for a more masculine, rugged look! There are new chevron stencils (larger pair of horizontal stencils which I used here plus a smaller scaled pair of vertical stencils).
I added a "ripped banner" die that I color blended and only after I assembled everything did I realize I forgot to sponge the edges! 😞 I tucked in some leaves - also from the Into the Blooms die set.STAMPS: A Little Rugged, Tuck-It: Dad.
INK: Bundled Sage, Vintage Photo, Speckled Egg, Old Paper, Antique Linen distress inks; Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse.
PAPER: Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate.
DIES: A Little Rugged, Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties, Charming Tag, Ripped Banners.
OTHER: Stitched rounded rectangle die; Jute twine; Chevron stencil horizontal.
That's it for day one. Stay tuned tomorrow for more adorable dad stuff and there might just be a beautiful new vase on board! ~Wanda
