PTI October Release Day 1

Are you ready for another really awesome release at Papertrey Ink? Manufacturing delays pushed the release to the 25th this month but...better late than never I say! I hope you will love the new products as much as I have! Today we are introducing you to Build-A-Santa stamp set and dies + Just Sentiments: Santa + Ornate Evergreens dies + Feathered Friends 16 dies.

Isn't this jolly guy just the cutest?! I created a fun tag but have a confession to make! I apparently have a gremlin in my house and the dies for this set disappeared into thin air with no results after lengthy searching! So...it was back to my roots of fussy cutting. :-(

I added enamel dots for the buttons and used a shimmery white embossing powder for his furry trim. The buckle was gold embossed which all adds to the dimensional details.

INK: True Black, Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Green Parakeet, Pinefeather, Harvest Gold, Soft Stone, Weathervane, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Lovely Lady.

Next up are some really great tree dies that make for a quick and easy holiday card!

I "smooshed" distress inks on Bristol Smooth Surface paper then die cut the trees and layered them over Limeade Ice paper. The curved sentiment is from the Holiday Wagon set (to be featured tomorrow) and fits perfectly with the Banner Builders Basics dies!

The background has subtle texture and shine with the stamp being heat embossed with shimmer EP. Some moonshine sequins top off the tree!

This card is a reverse version of my previous one by cutting the trees from a solid color and layering them over a patterned background - alcohol inks in this case.

The gold embossed sentiment and background plus the ribbon and cording pick up on the gold veining in the background colors.

PAPER: Tropical Teal, White, Metallic Gold.

OTHER: Gold cording, WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale Regular embossing powder, Jingle bells.

Next is the reveal of the newest in the Feathered Friends die series!

He appears to be in flight which is why I didn't "ground" his feet on a branch or other object. He pairs up well with a favorite set from last month's release called Sprigs & Sprays: Holiday.

I find it easier to cut all the bird die parts from white card stock then color blend them using brushes.
