PTI December Reveals Day #4

Welcome back to the final day of reveals for the December release at Papertrey Ink! Today, we are introducing you to Cover Plate: Beautiful Quilt dies + Extravagant Floral Frames die. Items will be available to buy at 10PM EST on the 28th, so get your shopping lists ready!

For my first card, I featured the smaller of the two dies in the Extravagant Floral Frames set. It cuts very easily and I love the added dotted border that is embossed into the design! 

Since I used the rose stencil, I echoed the rose theme by coloring up some elements from the Thank You Florals set. I love the "chubby" hearts and overlapped a pair of them prior to embellishing them with the florals. I can't get enough of this "love" die from the Forever and Always Sentiments set, so used it once again.

PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface, White.

Next up is a pair of cards using the Cover Plate: Beautiful Quilt dies. 

Here, I used the negative die cuts only. I placed the pink texture-looking printed paper over dotted adhesive paper then die cut it in my Big Shot. It was a bit tricky to keep the pieces in place but it worked!

The background was splattered with gray ink over Soft Stone paper. The wreath elements were all die cut from white paper then color blended. These florals have the most wonderful detailed die cuts and embossing!

I stamped tone on tone Hawaiian Shores ink onto paper using the smaller floral heart stamp from With All My Heart set. The swirls and ribbon details make such a beautiful bouquet!

Cutting two layers of the sentiments adds great dimension. A quick and easy way to create a beautiful wedding card!

PTI December Reveals Day #3

Christmas is over for another year and we are back to revealing the rest of the December release at Papertrey Ink. Today, we are introducing you to Into the Blooms: Wreath dies + Chalkboard Love stamps and dies + At the Bottom Stencils.

You have probably seen those sidewalk easel signs in front of restaurants and stores that serve as advertisements. That's what inspired me for this fun card!

I stamped the Weathered Wood Background using white pigment ink over Pool cardstock. I did not want the "wood" frame to be quite as wide as the die, so I cut it down slightly after adhering the "wood pieces" to adhesive paper.

I stamped and die cut two of the little banners then pieced them together. The sentiment and hearts with arrow elements were stamped, die cut and popped with foam tape to the chalkboard background.

INK: Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, True Black; Color Box Frost White pigment ink.
PAPER: True Black, White; Pool (Foiled Fox).

I wanted to use the new wreath dies and sentiment stamp/die with some older favorites of mine (Tin Stitch die and Mix & Mat: Plaid die). I cut all the florals from white Bristol Smooth Surface paper then color blended with brushes using dye inks.

Going Postal at Christmas

 

Happy Christmas Eve! We are taking a mini break for two days before resuming the last two reveal days for this month's release at Papertrey Ink. I wanted to share a card using the Postage Collage Die from Waffle Flower that is paired with their postage collage Christmas stencils. 

I added a few postage themed stamps from Papertrey Ink's Delivered By December 25th set and used the small Merry Christmas sentiment from PTI's Festive Mailbox set.

PAPER: Party Plaid 6x6" pad by My Favorite Things; White.

PTI December Reveals Day #2

Hello again! This is the second day of reveals for this month's release at Papertrey Ink! Today, we are introducing you to You Are Loved stamps and dies + Cornered: Floral Swirls dies + Fanciful Flourishes stamps and dies + Psalm Reflections: December stamps and dies and Hot Foil Plate + Elegant Edges: Floral Swirl dies.

I always love to create with black and white and a pop of color! This card is giving you a peek at the new Into the Blooms series that will be revealed on the 26th.

This sentiment fits perfectly into the smallest size of Love to Layer: Hearts.

STAMPS: Fanciful Flourishes, You Are Loved.
INK: Versafine Clair Nocturne; Lovely Lady, Raspberry Fizz, Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel; Grassy Knoll, Key Lime, Olive.

I have two cards using the new Psalm Reflections stamp, die and hot foil plate.

The base panel was stenciled then layered with the middle sized Love to Layer: Rectangles die then the Psalm die and the Psalm stamp used on the middle sized Love to Layer: Ovals die.

This card pairs up the new Psalm stamp with the Elegant Edges: Floral Swirl die. The dots were stenciled with Hawaiian Shores ink on Soft Stone paper.

PTI December Reveals Day #1

 

Hi everyone! I haven't been on the blog for a seemingly long time.  Lots going on to say the least! Welcome to reveals of the first day of the December release at Papertrey Ink. Today, we are introducing you to With All My Heart stamps and dies + Ornamental Swirl Hot Foil Plate + Love to Layer: Rounded Hearts 1 & 2 dies + Forever and Always Sentiments stamps and dies + Open Your Heart Stencils.

I started by using white foil with the Ornamental Swirl Hot Foil Plate and Dark Indigo paper. The center of the panel did not "foil" well, so plan B was to add the center strip using satin ribbon and two scalloped die borders. 

The sentiment is a sneak peek of a set coming up later in the month.  I loved playing with the heart "bouquet"!

STAMPS: With All My Heart, Chalkboard Love.
INK: Cherry Blossom, Peony, Begonia, Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, Olive; Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: White, Dark Indigo.
DIES: With All My Heart, Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles, On the Edge: Scallops Collection, Chalkboard Love.

Next up is an anniversary card using the sweet rounded hearts dies paired with the older larger than life "love" die.

The background heart stencil is a fun one! I cut out two layers of the "love" sentiment and offset them slightly. The sparkly silver card stock and the twine add a bit of texture to the design.

I really love this sentiment for an anniversary greeting!
