Happy New Year to all my crafty friends! It's a big day for some college football games but none seem to be ending like I would like - haha! So...I headed to my craft room and joined in the new Just Us Girls challenge where it's die week. My most often used cover plate die is the Tin Stitch die from Papertrey Ink! I combined it with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle dies by MFT.
Each pine cone has 3 layers where I blended 3 different brown shades then splattered with white Gouache paint. While wet, I sprinkled a wee bit of super fine glitter. The pine boughs were cut from a green scrap of paper then sponged lightly with Pinefeather ink and then splattered with white paint and fine glitter.
STAMPS: Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You (The Greetery).
INK: Fine Linen, Classic Kraft, Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean, Dark Chocolate, Pinefeather (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: Fine Linen, Stamper's Select White, New Leaf (PTI); Metallic mirror gold paper (Amazon).
DIES: Into the Blooms: Pine, Into the Blooms: Wild Wood, Border Bling: Tin Stitch (Papertrey Ink); Postal Frames, Sentiment Suite Basics, Inside and Out Berry Branch, Fit to be Tied, Postal Frames (The Greetery); Blueprints 27, Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Super fine glitter (Martha Stewart); White Gouache paint.
That's a wrap for now. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! ~Wanda

Wanda... so lovely to see you in the JUGS gallery for the New Year! Love that pierced cover plate...so subtle. That will get a lot of use this year. Your snow-flecked pinecones are amazing in dimension. Truly a fabulous card! Thanks for joining us!

What a beautiful card, Wanda! The layers, the snow, the coverplate all work together with the greenery, pine cones and wood cut for a wonderful winter 'thinking of you' card. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls.
