Pair of Bibs

I had no baby cards in my card stash, so this was what I came up with on this bitter cold day that is perfect for getting inky! The Sweet Baby Bib die set from Papertrey Ink makes such adorable bibs for the focal point! I made one with Sweet Blush and one with Mint Julep Bitty Big patterned papers - also from PTI.

I worked on both cards simultaneously in a mini, assembly line process. Here is what I used:

INK: Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Vintage Jadeite, Ocean Tides (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Birthday Balloons

 

I am CASEing a card by Kelly Lunceford from a post in January 2021. I loved how she used turquoise for the balloon cover plate and added 3 balloons from another stamp/die set.

Sending Love

It's a snowy/sleeting kind of Sunday, so crafting is a must while power is still on! 😀 I made this card for The Paper Players challenge (a sketch this week) and used colors for the Sunday Stamps challenge.

Valentine's Day will be here very soon so I'm making cards for the grands. I found a paper pad with light browns, pinks and reds which was an easy solution for my card.

Inspired By

 

Mittens are the inspiration for the current Inspired By challenge. With the huge snow/ice storm predicted for this weekend, I'm keeping warm thoughts and praying we don't lose power! I used stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink's November 2023 Surprise Box for the majority of this card. The bow is from their Bows Galore die set.

Freshly Made Sketches

 

There's a great new layout by Jen T for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I went with a heart theme to create a wedding card. I had the foiled heart background in my leftover pile (matte white foil over Sweet Blush paper). I used the 3 rounded heart dies and added flowers from PTI's Wreath die set.

Inspired By...

 

For the current Inspired By challenge. I was inspired by the colors of these frozen treats and decided to go with a postal collage card with a cupcake theme. You can never have too many birthday cards built up in your stash and I'm preparing for a lot of family birthdays in the next few months. Images were stenciled then the postage accents were added. A really quick way to put together a birthday card!

Word Art Wednesday Psalm 56:9

 

It's Wednesday so that means it's time for a new Word Art Wednesday challenge. This time Karen has chosen Psalm 56:9 which reminds us that God is for us if we will just make the choice to call on Him. 

The watercolor background was made by sponging distress inks onto watercolor paper. I then splattered with water. Top corners were rounded with a corner chomper. 

 

STAMPS:  None (verse printed at 60% size).

INK: Dye inks from Papertrey Ink used for the florals; Distress inks used for the background watercolor panel.

Just Us Girls

 

It's mood board week over on the Just Us Girls challenge blog. The arched doors and windows plus the pop of red were what inspired me. Out came my Love to Layer: Arches die set and the Long Line Roses stamps/stencils/dies by Kristina Werner to bring in the pop of red.

Freshly Made Sketches

 

Judy has a great new sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I haven't played with the Festive Birds die set in a long time and thought I'd create a winter vignette with a tiny poinsettia and some Christmas sprigs dies - all from Papertrey Ink.  

  

A lady from church is recuperating from a tragic accident so this will go to her to hopefully brighten her day.

Paper Players Challenge

 

.The Paper Players have a color challenge this week with a medium blue, navy blue and silver combo. I went with a "celebrate" theme using stars as accents. I water colored distress inks onto watercolor paper. I then tore the edges and swiped a Versamark ink pad along the torn edge and heat embossed with silver powder.

 

I used a script stencil from Hero Arts with Prize Ribbon distress ink. Here is what else I used:

INK: Prize Ribbon, Stormy Sky distress inks; Versamark.

PAPER: Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink); Ranger water color paper; Metallic silver and brushed silver; Dark blue (? source) from my leftover bin.

DIES: This is Big Sentiments: Celebrate (PTI); Stars (My Favorite Things.

OTHER: Script stencil (Hero Arts); Silver embossing powder (Stampin' Up).

Inspired By...

 

I'm playing along  with the Inspired By challenge that has an inspiration photo of winter knit hats. I was inspired by the colors and the Nordic patterns for my background. With adding the snowflakes, I knew I had to use a "warm" sentiment!

Most of the snowflakes were in my leftover pile so this was a quick and easy card to create!

Word Art Wednesday Romans 12:2

 

Hello friends! Happy New Year to all and welcome to another Word Art Wednesday challenge! This time our verse is from Romans 12:2 which directs us to not follow the world but to be constantly in the will of God. I wanted my card to have a winter and lingering holiday feel with the holly and berries and the red/green color combo.

Holly berries and leaves were die cut from white paper then color blended. The edges of the verse panel were lightly sponged with Limeade Ice ink. 

  

STAMPS: None (verse was printed at 90% size).

INK: Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Ripe Avocado (Papertrey Ink).
