WAW Eucalyptus

Welcome to another Word Art Wednesday challenge! This time we are featuring Proverbs 16:32. I recreated the verse in a Word document to modernize some of the wording and used the English Standard Version. Since the Stamp Simply company is sponsoring this challenge, I used their Eucalyptus Silhouettes stamp/die set for my card.

I'm continuing to whittle away at my leftover pile and had a lot of extra eucalyptus sprays already stamped using distress inks. The background was already made using the Coverplate Exquisite die over soft stone paper.

STAMPS: Eucalyptus Silhouettes (Stamp Simply).
INK: Variety of distress inks.
PAPER: Stampers Select, Soft Stone (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Eucalyptus Silhouettes (Stamp Simply); Coverplate Exquisite,  Love to Layer: Ovals (PTI).
OTHER: Crinkled seam binding.

We would love to have you play along with us! One lucky participant will win a $25 gift card from Stamp Simply.  Happy stamping!  Wanda

Freshly Made Sketches

A card I created for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I wanted to use this new (to me) stamp set by Stamp Simply. I stamped the rose using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card since I colored using Copics. The "wood"  element was in my leftover pile. The sentiment placement was modified a bit from the sketch.

STAMPS: Thinking of You Rose (Stamp Simply).
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black.
PAPER: Classic Kraft, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things); Thinking of You Rose (Stamp Simply); Beautiful Bouquet Tag (Papertrey Ink).
OTHER: Curving Leaves 3D embossing folder (Altenew); Dark green/white thread.
COPICS: RV11, RV32, RV34, Y04, YG61, YG67.

It's a cloudy Monday with forecast of high winds later in the day. Grands are here for the day due to no school for winter break. Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda

WAW Zephaniah 3:17

Hello friends! We have a new Word Art Wednesday challenge with the verse from Zephaniah 3:17 for our inspiration. I printed it at 65% then die cut using the fancy Extravagant Floral Frames die by Papertrey Ink. The beautiful patterned paper is from a favorite 6x6" pad called Ink Drops - Candy and is sold by Stamp Simply who is our generous sponsor this month. If you play along with us, you have a chance to win a $25 gift card from Stamp Simply!

I embellished with some color blended florals from PTI's Into the Blooms: Wreath set and rounded the corners.

Hope to see you in the gallery!  ~Wanda

Word Art Wednesday

Good day crafty friends! It's time for a new Word Art Wednesday  challenge and this time Karen has chosen Lamentations 3:24. Another reminder that living in the Lord always brings us hope! Stamp Simply is our sponsor for this challenge and will be giving away a $25 gift card to some lucky participant. I am using the  Eucalyptus Silhouettes stamp/die set from Stamp Simply on my card.

I computer-generated the verse then used a Watercolor Wash Free Form stencil and Milled Lavender distress ink to give a watercolor look to the background. I paired up some distress inks for each of the eucalyptus branches. I inked up the whole branch with the lighter of the two colors, then used a sponge dauber to "pounce" on some random splotches of the darker color. I lightly sprayed with water before stamping onto Bristol Smooth Surface paper.

STAMPS: Eucalyptus Silhouettes (Stamp Simply).
INK: Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion distress inks (Ranger).
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Plum Pudding (Papertrey Ink); Bristol Smooth Surface.
DIES: Eucalyptus Silhouettes (Stamp Simply); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Raindrop embellishments (Waffle Flower); Watercolor Wash Free Form stencil (My Favorite Things).

We hope you can join us in this challenge! Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

WAW John 3:16 Blog Hop

Welcome to another Word Art Wednesday challenge! This time we have John 3:16 - a most memorable verse - with a generous sponsor in Unity Stamps. They are offering $25 x 2 (yes, there will be two winners)! This is in addition to prizes being offered from each blog in the annual hop!

I added eucalyptus sprays to the frame after stamping them with multiple distress inks and spritzing lightly with water prior to stamping them onto watercolor paper. The spritzing gives the images a mottled look. The background was lightly stenciled with a script stencil.

STAMPS: Eucalyptus Silhouettes (Stamp Simply).
INK: Salvaged Patina, Speckled Egg, Iced Spruce, Weathered Wood, Bundled Sage, Shabby Shutters distress inks by Ranger. Sentiment was computer generated.
PAPER: Stampers Select White (Papertrey Ink); Water color paper (Ranger); Mint Melody (retired SU).
DIES: Eucalyptus Silhouettes (Stamp Simply); Love to Layer: Lovely Bracket (Papertrey Ink); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Enamel dots; Script stencil 6x6" (Hero Arts).

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!  The prize on my blog stop is a stamp set from Gina K Designs, Kokorosa Summer die cut set, and some floral ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
