Are you ready for a new Color Throwdown challenge? This week, Vickie is hosting with the following colors: mustard, red and slate blue. I thought they would be fun for a snowman postage collage card. Another Christmas card completed!

INK: Sweet Mustard, Candy Apple, Slumber (Pinkfresh Studio); Versafine Clair Nocturne.

PAPER: Party Plaid 6x6" pad (My Favorite Things); Stampers Select White (PTI).

Just Us Girls

I was on a roll playing with the new build an angel dies from the last release at Papertrey Ink! This one uses the colors - gold, white, blue - for the current Just Us Girls challenge.    

I had the silver foiled snowflake base layer in my leftover pile which made this a fairly quick and easy card to complete.

The sentiment was white embossed onto navy paper. Here's what else I used:

STAMPS: Angelic Sentiments (Papertrey Ink).

INK: Versamark.

PAPER: Navy blue (? source  - in my scrap pile), Stampers Select White (PTI); Metallic gold & silver.

DIES: Build-an-Angel, Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles (Papertrey Ink).

OTHER: Fanciful Snowflake Background hot foil plate (PTI); Silver foil; Brutus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder.

CAS Colours & Sketches

It's been a great Sunday with a little spare time in the afternoon for getting inky! I loved playing with these new swag dies from Papertrey Ink and I used the great holiday colors for the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  

I liked the design so well that I went ahead and did two more identical cards while my supplies were out! Trying to get my Christmas stack built up as it will be here before you know it.

INK: Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel (Papertrey Ink); Mint, Meadow, Eucalyptus, Spruce Tips, Gathered Twigs (Pinkfresh Studio).

PAPER: Metallic Silver; Stampers Select White, Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink).

DIES: Cover Plate: Cross Stitched, Border Bling: Joy, Love to Layer: Arches, Into the Blooms: Swag (Papertrey Ink).

Word Art Wednesday

Good Wednesday everyone! I'm so thrilled to have been asked to guest design for the Word Art Wednesday challenge in November! The scripture for inspiration this time is Micah 7:8. I chose to print the verse then added the background with an amazing new sunflower stencil from Papertrey Ink. A ric rac black border was added and this was a very quick and easy card to create!

Color Throwdown #818

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge with Lynn hosting this week. Our colors are orange, moss green and cranberry. I thought the stencils and dies from Kristina Werner's collection for Concord & 9th would work well with these colors. 

I stenciled the background, then splattered Mulberry Blush ink over the arched die. I die cut then inlaid the berries and leaves after color blending them with dye inks.

INK: Orange Zest, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado (Papertrey Ink); Mulberry Blush (Pinkfresh Studio).

Colorful Options

 

This is my first time playing along with the Colorful Options challenge! We are to play with red so it was a perfect way to use some new stamps/dies/stencils from Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th. I cased one of Kristina's release day card pretty directly, so need to give her the credit for the layout.

I started by stenciling the small red rectangle using Pure Poppy ink over Pure Poppy card stock.The striped strip was stamped with Pinefeather ink over Vintage Jadeite paper. The berries and leaves were color blended then inlaid onto the outline frame die of the sprig. A touch of silver metallic was added with the die cut bow.
