Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

While a thunderstorm is rolling through the Shenandoah Valley here in VA, I'm finishing up this card and entering it into the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I really enjoy the Kristina Werner collection of Long Line Roses she designed for Concord & 9th! The stencils make it so easy to color everything very quickly. I wanted to showcase the new Coastal Blue dye ink and paper recently made available at Papertrey Ink. While it's very close, it's simply not the same shade as Aqua Mist which has not been available for years! I will sadly mourn losing that color!

STAMPS: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th).
INK: Green Parakeet, Ocean Tides, Coastal Blue, Hawaiian Shores, Blueberry Sky (PTI).
PAPER: Coastal Blue, Stampers Select White (PTI).
DIES: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th); Pierced Feature Frames, Border Bling: Tin Stitch (PTI); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

Freshly Made Sketches

Playing along with the new Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I am adding another pair of the same design to my Christmas stash which is currently at #30. I love getting them done earlier this year! I tweaked the sketch a bit by adding the horizontal striped border.
Initially, I didn't use a textured background, but changed my mind and used this awesome 3D embossing folder by Altenew. Gotta love some added texture!

STAMPS: Merry Greetings Builder Stamps (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th.
INK: Versamark.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Pure Poppy; Metallic gold; Red glitter paper; two shades of green from my scrap pile.
DIES: Winter Berries Stem Layering (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th).

Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I love playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and this week, I went with the diagonal row of stencil, free and embossing. This berry background stencil collection by Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th was unused, so it was time to remedy that! I decided to go with pink berries instead of red so it's a more non-traditional Christmas color palette.

I layered up the gift bow dies and then matched the silver "ribbon" by silver embossing the "merry" part of the sentiment. Kristina's Merry Christmas Builder stamps and dies are highly recommended because you have endless options for a large variety of sentiments!

STAMPS: Merry Christmas Builder (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th).
INK: Lemon Tart, Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz (Papertrey Ink); Versamark.
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; Stamper's Select White, Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf (PTI); Metallic Silver (My Favorite Things).
DIES: Merry Christmas builder, Gift Bows (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th).
OTHER: Berries & Leaves stencils (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th).

It's turned much colder here in VA...time to layer up and finally turn the heat on. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  ~Wanda

Think Pink

Being a breast cancer survivor for 7 years, I am always jumping at a chance to spread the word for ladies to get their mammograms yearly! To recognize breast cancer awareness month, the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge has a "think pink" challenge for us. To add to my Christmas stash, I made a couple of cards using products that Kristina Werner designed last year for Concord & 9th. I LOVE the berries stencils and dies collection and went with some non-traditional colors for Christmas.

STAMPS: Merry Christmas Builder Stamps (Concord & 9th).
INK: Candy Violet (Pinkfresh Studio).
PAPER: Rich Razzleberry, Light mauve (? name) by Stampin' Up; Pink glitter paper; Silver Shine (My Favorite Things); Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink).

Sunday Stamps Challenge

I used one of my fave stamp/stencil/die sets designed by Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th. The Sunday Stamps Challenge has a great color palette for us this week and I used all but the lavender color.

I started by embossing with Kristina's Finishing Touches dies to add texture to the background.

The stencils allow you to color up the florals very quickly. Easy to line up the stencils and easy to die cut the images! I popped up the sentiment and rose with foam tape.

STAMPS: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th).
INK: Lemon Tart, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, Tropical Teal (Papertrey Ink); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Hey Cupcake 6x6 pad (Doodlebug Design Inc.); Stamper's Select White (PTI).
DIES: Kristina's Finishing Touches, Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

Word Art Wednesday

There's a new Word Art Wednesday challenge with a familiar verse from Ephesians 3:20. I can remember a former pastor using this routinely in his doxology prayer.

I printed the verse on vellum then layered it over a striped paper from Making Memories that was dated 2005. So...in my stash for about 20 years and high time I put it to good use - haha! I'm loving these stamps/dies/stencils in Kristina Werner's Long Line Roses collection by Concord & 9th! I cut the one floral spray apart to fit it around the verse.

STAMPS: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th).
INK: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Mint, Meadow (Pinkfresh Studio); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Vellum (Papertrey Ink); Pink & striped patterned paper (Making Memories).
DIES: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th); Blueprints 27 (My Favorite Things); On the Edge: Scallops Collection (Papertrey Ink).

Color Throwdown #834

Good Wednesday everyone! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge and Amy Rohl is hosting with green, turquoise and orange. I pulled a turquoise foiled script background from my leftover pile and added stamps from a new Long Line Roses stamp/die/stencil set from Kristina Werner at Concord & 9th. LOVE this new set!

I have no clue why the circle splatter on the foiled background shows up royal blue. It was all the same turquoise foil!

STAMPS: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner at Concord & 9th).
INK: Peach Fuzz, Clementine, Persimmon, Grassy Knoll, Olive (Pinkfresh Studio); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Soft Stone, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink).

The Paper Players

There is a great layout by LeAnne for the newest Paper Players Challenge! I needed to build up my sympathy card stash, so this black and white with a pop of color fit the bill.

The patterned background paper has a sheen to it which makes photographing it a bit tricky. The white panels were the interior of a Blueprints 27 die by MFT and I shortened the strips by about 3/8" to fit the plaid panel.

Again, you are seeing a new favorite stamp/die/stencil set by Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th. The sentiment was white embossed on black.
STAMPS: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th); Tuck It Sentiments (Papertrey Ink).

INK: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Mint, Meadow (Pinkfresh Studio); Versamark.

PAPER: Stamper's Select White, True Black (Papertrey Ink); Black & White Plaid 6x6 pad (My Favorite Things).

Freshly Made Sketches

A new Freshly Made Sketches challenge is up and running. I tweaked the position of the sentiment but thought this rose was perfect for the crescent element. I can't seem to stop using this new Long Line Roses stamps/dies/stencils by Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th!

I had this alcohol ink background in my leftover pile for a LONG time and decided to start with that.

STAMPS: Long Line Roses (Kristina Werner for Concord & 9th).

Color Throwdown #818

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge with Lynn hosting this week. Our colors are orange, moss green and cranberry. I thought the stencils and dies from Kristina Werner's collection for Concord & 9th would work well with these colors.

I stenciled the background, then splattered Mulberry Blush ink over the arched die. I die cut then inlaid the berries and leaves after color blending them with dye inks.

STAMPS: Merry Greetings Builder Stamps (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th).
INK: Orange Zest, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado (Papertrey Ink); Mulberry Blush (Pinkfresh Studio).

Colorful Options

This is my first time playing along with the Colorful Options challenge! We are to play with red so it was a perfect way to use some new stamps/dies/stencils from Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th.
I cased one of Kristina's release day card pretty directly, so need to give her the credit for the layout.

I started by stenciling the small red rectangle using Pure Poppy ink over Pure Poppy card stock. The striped strip was stamped with Pinefeather ink over Vintage Jadeite paper. The berries and leaves were color blended then inlaid onto the outline frame die of the sprig. A touch of silver metallic was added with the die cut bow.

STAMPS: Merry Greetings Builder (Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th).
INK: Pure Poppy, Pinefeather, Scarlet Jewel (Papertrey Ink); Versamark.
PAPER: Classic Kraft, Pure Poppy, Vintage Jadeite, Stampers Select White (PTI); Metallic Silver.
DIES: Merry Greetings Builder, Winter Berries Stem Layering, Gift Bows (Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th).
OTHER: Berries & Leaves (Kristina Werner + Concord & 9th).
