Papertrey Ink Reveal Day #3

Welcome back to another fun day of new release items at Papertrey Ink! Today, we are introducing you to Fall Farmer's Market stamps and dies + Fallen Leaves: Hot Foil Plate + Thankful for Fall: Sentiments stamps + Fantastic Foliage stamps and dies + Fallen Leaves: Stencils + Into the Blooms: Pumpkin dies. This is a long post so hang in there with me. I've got lots to share!

I thought it would be fun to pair up this new set with the previously released truck dies from the Patriot set. My card base was hot foiled with silver foil onto Glimmer Specialty card stock by Spellbinders. It's my favorite paper to get good foiling results!

I color blended the background with distress inks then layered up all the stamped elements. My mouth is watering for some yummy local apple cider that a farm makes across Afton Mountain. It's the best!

STAMPS: Fall Farmer's Market
INK: Salty Ocean, Prize Ribbon, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Crackling Campfire distress; Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Orange Zest, Canyon Clay, Fine Linen, Honey Nut, Classic Kraft, Cocoa Bean, Dark Chocolate, New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Ocean Tides, Vintage Jadeite
PAPER: Glimmer Specialty card stock (Spellbinders); White; Bristol Smooth Surface
DIES: Patriot (truck), Fall Farmer's Market, Stitched Rectangle
OTHER: Glimmer silver foil

Next up is a simple card using the beautiful Fantastic Foliage set. I tore the edges of the plaid and vellum layers which adds visual interest and texture.

After leaves were stamped, I splattered with Dark Chocolate ink.

STAMPS: Fantastic Foliage
INK: Ground Espresso distress; New Leaf, Ripe Avocado, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Canyon Clay, Terracotta Tile, Honey Nut, Pure Poppy, Scarlett Jewel
PAPER: Rustic Cream, Vellum, Year Round Plaids (Pink & Main)
DIES: Love to Layer: Ovals
OTHER: Jute twine

I love the new Fallen Leaves stencil which includes two steps! It pairs up nicely with the awesome new Into the Blooms: Pumpkin dies.

Blend 2-3 ink shades over the pumpkins and leaves to add depth and add texture to stenciled leaves in background by die cutting with the Tin Stitch die.

STAMPS: Thankful For Fall sentiments
INK: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door, Mowed Lawn, Walnut Stain, Ripe Persimmon, Carved Pumpkin, Crackling Campfire distress inks; Cocoa Bean, Dark Chocolate
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; White, Dark Chocolate, Vellum
DIES: Pierced Feature Frames, Into the Blooms: Pumpkin

I took a less traditional turn with colors for this card but ended up liking the pop of color against the black and white foiled background. Embossed vellum works well to add a sentiment without covering up much of the focal point. TIP: Intricate dies like the Delicately Woven die may need to be cut several times with repositioning over the die plate each time and also by adding a metal shim.

STAMPS: Thankful For Fall sentiments
INK: Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Mint Julep, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, True Black, New Leaf
PAPER: White, True Black; Bristol Smooth Surface; Glimmer Specialty card stock (Spellbinders)
DIES: Love to Layer: Ovals, Delicately Woven, Into the Blooms: Pumpkin
OTHER: Raindrops, Glimmer Black Foil

Papertrey Ink Reveal Day #2

Welcome back to day #2 of reveals for the August release at Papertrey Ink! We are in full Halloween mode today and are introducing you to Witches Brew stamps and dies + Brew To-Go dies + Elegant edges: Spider Web dies + Bright Night stamps and dies + Just Sentiments: Spooky stamps + Cornered: Spider Webs dies.

My first card includes a fun tea cup with several sentiments for the season. I popped it up with foam tape and accented it with a fun stir stick, some magical stardust and a bit of steam!

The sentiment was heat embossed with black embossing powder.

STAMPS: Witches Brew
INK: Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, True Black; Twisted Citron distress; Versamark
PAPER: Fright Night 6x6 patterned paper by Recollections; White
DIES: Witches Brew, Delicate Circle, Love to Layer: Torn Edges
OTHER: Clear embossing powder, Black twine, Rain drops, Crystal Stickles

Next up is a new gift card holder with a sleeve. I kept it pretty simple and added a sentiment by using a mini tag from last month's release.

STAMPS: Fall Farmers Market, Tag It Minis
INK
: New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Spring Moss, Harvest Gold, True Black
PAPER: Halloween Basics by Recollections; Classic Kraft, True Black, White
DIES: Brew To Go, Fall Farmers Market, Tag It Minis
OTHER: Jute twine

Next...I featured the fun new elegant edge spider web die. TIP: Don't try to match up the pieces of the web by placing the edges together. It will only work if you leave a wee bit of space between the sections.

I layered 3 of the sentiment dies then added Orange Peel Stickles to the top layer. I did the same layering with the spider then added Black Diamond Stickles. I softened the look by using a corner chomper and rounding off the top corners.

Next up are two cards that feature the fun Bright Night stamps and dies.

This is a mini slimline card that includes a flat light behind the pumpkin. This was the first time I used any kind of light product so I had a learning curve. I found a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire to be very helpful which you can watch HERE

Here is a short video of the light in action...

Papertrey Ink Reveal Day #1

There are new goodies being released this month at Papertrey Ink and you will love the fun fall and Halloween stamps, dies, stencils and...a new product will be making an appearance on Tuesday!!! For today, we are introducing you to Larger Than Life: Fall dies + Larger Than Life: Fall Sentiments stamps + Into the Blooms: Sunflowers dies + Go-To-Gift Card Holder: Backpack dies + Accessories stamps and dies.

My first card is a bit larger than A2 size. I started with 5x7" then shortened the width by 3/4" so I could accommodate the largest of the sunflowers with this stitched pumpkin.

I stenciled with a dots stencil and Classic Kraft ink on two corners then layered a kraft panel. I stitched the pumpkin using black twine then continued to layer the elements onto the card. I colored the sunflower using Zig clean color brushes and layered two of the "fall" sentiment dies to give it more dimension. The inside sentiment continues to say "reminds me how grateful I am for all the blessings you bring into my life".

STAMPS: none
INK: New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Honey Nut, Dark Chocolate, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Classic Kraft
PAPER: Rustic Cream, True Black, White, Classic Kraft; Scrapbook Paper 6x6" by Recollections
DIES: Into the Blooms: Sunflowers, Mini Picket Fence, Larger Than Life: Fall, In Stitches: Pumpkin
OTHER: Black jute twine, Dots Stencil

My second project uses the smaller sized sunflowers and leaves. I just love all the texture that is included with these dies! I again started with stenciling the background...this time using the dotted hexagon stencil.

The mini picket fence was die cut from a wood grain patterned paper then two rows of grass were added - one behind and one in front of the fence. The depth of the textures doesn't show up well in the photos. It's so much better IRL!

STAMPS: Larger Than Life Fall Sentiments
INK: New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Honey Nut
PAPER: Bristol Smooth Surface; Summer Sun (retired SU); Share Your Heart patterned paper, White
DIES: Into the Blooms: Sunflowers, Mini Picket Fence, Grassy Edge
OTHER: Zig clean color brushes, Dotted Hexagon stencil

Last but not least is just the CUTEST little holder ever for money or a gift card!

There are even more accessories for the backpack than I have shown in my sample! I'm thinking I need to make a couple more for teacher gifts from the grand kids.

STAMPS: Go-To Gift Card Holder: Backpack Accessories stamps
INK: Pure Poppy, Scarlet Jewel, Hawaiian Shores, Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Weathervane, True Black, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Classic Kraft
PAPER: Raspberry Fizz, Soft Stone, True Black, White; Metallic Silver
DIES: Go-To Gift Card Holder: Backpack dies
