Raise the Bar - White on White

This week, the Raise the Bar challenge is to use white on white with a pop of color in our stamped image. I'm a huge fan of white space, but somehow gravitate toward lots of color when I'm planning a card design. For this reason, I was thrilled that Joni asked the bartenders to create with this theme! I scored some lines on the white card base. The middle white layer was embossed using CB's Victoria EF. The Fleur de lis layer was a Spellbinders' die. I cut the leafy flourish using Cheery Lynn Designs die...just love this one! The flowers were colored with Copics (BG10, BG11, BG13, Y13), cut out and popped with foam dots. Some Diamond Stickles were added to the centers.
STAMPS: Fabulous Florets (SU), Tiny Tags (PTI)
PAPER: Pool Party, White
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party
ACCESSORIES: Fanciful Flourish die by Cheery Lynn Designs, Victoria EF, Fleur de lis Spellbinders die, Tiny tag die by PTI, Silver cord, Scor-Pal, Diamond Stickles.

Be sure to stop by the RTB blog and see what the other bartenders have created...hope to have you join us!

SFYTT & CC

Mary Marsh has some FAB fall colors on the SCS Color Challenge - Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Cajun Craze - with the dessert option to create a fall or Thanksgiving card! I just had to play along! I also love Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You To Try for September, so used that for my layout! I had these floral stamps out from a previous project, so colored them up with Copics, cut them out and popped them with foam dots. Here's what else I used:
STAMPS: Fabulous Florets (SU), Harvest Blessings (Verve) - sentiment, Sunny Days (Verve) - sprig stamp on flag element, Sentiment Flags (Lil' Inker Designs)
PAPER: Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Always Artichoke, DP by SU
INK: Cajun Craze, Memento Tuxedo Black

Fall Fun Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Fall Fun Blog Hop! A group of online buddies decided the holiday weekend in the US would be a GREAT time to get inky together, and so we've put together a fall themed blog hop to inspire you as the autumn approaches. As you meet our stampy bloggers today, you may discover that some have goodies for you, so be sure and visit everyone on the list. We have hoppers from all over the globe today, and they are amazing artists.

Speaking of goodies...I have some ready to ship to one lucky commenter! I love using these items myself and hope you will enjoy them, too! So...here's what you could win...
My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two "Blush" pad
My Mind's Eye Lost & Found "Christmas" pad
Melissa Frances lace trim package
Two colors of baker's twine
I'll use random integer to choose a winner on the following Monday, September 12 (deadline to comment is midnight on Sunday, 9/11), so good luck everyone!

On to my fall card...This trio of pumpkins is a fave fall image from Verve's Bountiful Harvest set and so fun to color with Copics! I highlighted the leaves with Peeled Paint Stickles and embossed the chocolate panel using a pumpkin EF by CB. The DP is by My Mind's Eye from their Six by Six "All Spice" pad (guess you've figured out I love MME papers - lol!). I used the Fanciful Flourish die by Cheery Lynn Designs to cut and add the leafy vine accent.

Here is the full list of our blog hoppers:
Next on the blog hop is the talented, sweet and sassy Korin Sutherland!

Thanks for visiting us - grab yourself a nice fall beverage (my choice is pumpkin spice latte!) and enjoy!

Second Friday Post...

A quick card before heading out the door for errands...This is for the first September Viva la Verve sketch - a tall layout by the talented diva, Amber! I went with some retired DP (Autumn Splendor) by SU with a base of Rustic Cream CS by PTI. I die cut multiple maple leaves and stamped a quick sentiment flag (love that Lil' Inker Designs set!) and added a button with chocolate baker's twine. The edges were distressed and sponged with Antique Linen distress ink. This is also for the CCEE Stampers challenge to create a fall card using a die. TGIF and I happen to be off today as well!

STAMPS: Happy Fall (Verve), Sentiment Flags (Lil' Inker Designs).

Raise the Bar

Good Friday to you! It's time for the weekly Raise the Bar challenge and since it's the first TGIF day of the month...we have a sponsor - woohoo! Whimsie Doodles is offering a $10 coupon to one lucky participant! Their digital images are just the cutest, so hope you can play along with us! I used Sea Shell Leah for this end of summer card...so fun to color with Copics! The challenge is to use paper piecing, so I pieced the swimsuit. If you post a card to a gallery for this challenge, remember to use the key word: RTB73. The layout is for this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS.

STAMPS: Sea Shell Leah digital image by Whimsie Doodles; sentiment was computer-generated.
PAPER: Summer Days DP by Echo Park.
