When Lil' Inker Designs had their last release, I fell in love with the Kitty Hugger stamp and die bundle! Now that I have three grandchildren, I can't resist some of the cuteness that is available for papercrafters! The heart die base (SU) was perfect to adhere the kitty (die cut from Reverse Confetti's Stone cardstock). What treat could be more perfect than a miniature KitKat bar?! Adding a small glue dot to each paw works great to hold the candy in place. I was able to mass produce 15 of these treats for a preschool class in an hour. I'm hoping the class of 2 year olds will think they are pawsome! ❤️

CAS(E) This Sketch

I just posted last week's CTS card late last night and now this morning, the new CAS(E) This Sketch challenge is posted. It was perfect to get another birthday card cranked out! I used a number of items from my leftover pile - the frame, the floral die, the watercoloring and the striped BG. So, your guess is as good as mine as to what colors I used. :-)
STAMPS: Hello You (Simon Says Stamp), You and I (Verve).
DIES: Stitched rectangles (Lil' Inker Designs), All Framed Up (Reverse Confetti); Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-Namics (MFT), Blossom die (Concord and 9th).

CAS(E) This Sketch
Happy late Wednesday and almost Thursday everyone! I'm squeaking in under the wire to get my card entered for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. Michele Ferguson has this fun layout which I interpreted with some random stamping of Altenew's Daisy set. I added some quick watercoloring with Tumbled Glass distress ink. This has been on my leftover pile for quite some time and I don't remember what inks I used for the flowers and leaves. :-( The sentiment is a new die for me - With Sympathy by Simon Says Stamp - cut twice with PTI's True Black CS.
That's it from me as I wind down from my busy night at work. It's beginning to rain lightly, so I'm crossing my fingers and toes that the snow storm will stay north of us. It was still 55 degrees at 11 PM but we know that will change by morning.
Color Throwdown #429
Hello blog friends! Vickie is our hostess for the Color Throwdown Challenge this week and you are gonna LOVE these colors! Isn't this a great contemporary office space?! I was definitely inspired by the striped rug...thus the chevrons and diagonal striped panel dies. Of course, I couldn't resist taking off on the florals that are in the photo as well. So...here is my take on the orange, turquoise and black color combo using Reverse Confetti products...

After adhering the chevrons and the diagonal striped panel, it was flower arranging time using Leafy dies - cut from RC's Iced Aqua CS then sponged with their Aqua ink. The flowers were stamped with RC's Tangerine ink. Highlights were inked with SU's Tangerine Tango. A black gel pen was used to darken up the flower centers. Some clear sequins and a triple layered sentiment from metallic copper CS finished up this fun floral design.
STAMPS: Garden Bunch (Reverse Confetti).
DIES: Love Note, Triple Chevies, Leafy, Diagonal Stripe Pretty Panel (all by Reverse Confetti).

Friday Inspiration File
Kara Vrabel is celebrating 300 weeks of inspiration on the Friday Inspiration File. This is a new challenge to me...thanks to the posting of Leigh Penner on FB. SOOO many gorgeous cards are saved to Kara's Pinterest file here, but I finally went with one of my first blog idols - Laurie Schmidlin - to CASE her card here. Laurie's card inspired me to go with this adorable bear from Reverse Confetti's Bear Hugs set and I paired it with papers from RC's "True Love" pad and also Bo Bunny's "Crush" collection. The doily is from Martha Stewart and the heart border is a PTI die. The ovals are punches by SU. I used Copics to color the image: T1, T3, T5, T7, R24, R29, Y18. Now, I just need to decide which of my 3 grandchildren will get this card as happy mail. ❤️
I also used the colors - red, white, black - for the Color Challenge on SCS. A classic combo that never grows old for me! Thanks so much for stopping by...

Mojo Monday
Good Monday everyone! Are you ready for a really fun sketch to play with? Check out Julee's new Mojo Monday Challenge! I have 3 co-workers with birthdays this month, so it was a no brainer as to what kind of card I would make. I went with a favorite stand by...Verve's Poppy Birthday set! After applying two shades of orange Mijello Mission gold paint on some watercolor CS, I then stamped the flowers using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then fussy cut the images. I added Black Enamel Accents to the flower centers. Ribbon is Mistletoe by SU and paper is from My Mind's Eye "On the Bright Side" 6x6 pad. I nearly covered up all the texture paste that I applied to the background using a Mini Basket Weave Stencil by TCW.
So...we'd love to see how you interpret this challenge! You'll want to post your creation on the Mojo Monday blog. If you need more inspiration, check out the design team's creations below:

Inspired By All The Little Things
Hello weekend and welcome to another great inspiration photo for the new Inspired By All The Little Things challenge! Love is in the air this month...with a rustic flavor this week!
With all the wooden elements in the photo, I knew I wanted to use a wood grain patterned paper for my background. Since the stacked up blocks had a whitewashed paint on them, I was inspired to add white texture paste using a 6x6 Mini Basketweave stencil by TCW. After that was dry, it was time to distress the edges by tearing then sponging with some Soft Suede ink (SU).
MFT's Accent It - Celebrate Die-Namics set has a love die which was perfect after accenting it with a puffy heart enamel sticker. A red frame (die by Reverse Confetti - All Framed Up) added some interest and then a button with twine was needed to balance out the design.
We're happy to have Nina Forsyth joining us as our guest designer this week! Be sure to stop by her blog and say hello!
We'd love to see how YOU interpret this challenge, so hope to see you in the gallery!
