Get Your Diva On

I was excited to see this month's Get Your Diva On challenge...another chance to win a guest spot as a Verve diva! Amy is this month's hostess and she has challenged us to use fabric. A great opportunity for me to break open my new package of Glubers - the large adhesive circles that were revealed at the last CHA show. Wow...do they ever make rolled fabric flowers easy to put together! I had leftover fabric from sewing a valence for the youth S.S. room at church...LOVE the turquoise, spring green and touch of chocolate in the print! Julee's leaf die was perfect to add some foliage! The background is a combination of embossing on turquoise CS and DP run through the Big Shot using the top note die. My last Verve order had baker's twine wrapped around the tissue - a great freebie that was put to use with the button topper! Hope you have a wonderful day!
Here's what I used...
STAMPS: Bloom & Grow (Verve), Faithful Phrases (Verve)
PAPER: Tempting Turquoise, Rainbow Sherbet (SU), White, Textured green from my scrap pile - sorry, but don't know the source.
INK: Certainly Celery, Versafine Onyx Black.
ACCESSORIES: Leaf die (Verve), Gluber, Fabric, Button, Baker's twine, Adhesive rhinestones, Tag die (Verve), Flower lace trim by Wright's, Top note die, EF

Peas Get Better Soon

Mojo Monday

Can't believe another week has rolled by and it's time for a Mojo Monday Challenge - this time the sketch is by Debbie Carriere, a sweet online blog friend, who is super talented with papercrafting! I decided to plan ahead and create a Father's Day card for my dad. His fave color is blue, so I thought the papers in the Stella & Rose "Hattie" pad would be perfect. I stamped the DAD image on a Versamark pad then stamped it on Chocolate Chip ink and embossed with clear EP to give it a sheen & more clear cut color. Freud has a name for people like me because I'm not happy with the slightly crooked line of stamping on the blue panel - Grrr! But, I think I will just live with it as it is - lol!
STAMPS: Protector by Verve
PAPER: Stella & Rose "Hattie" papers by MME, White
ACCESSORIES: Labels Sixteen & Labels Twenty-one Nesties, Twine, Mini rolled roses Die-namics by MFT, Buttons, Large star punch by SU, Star Die-namic border by MFT, Petal roller tool by Imaginisce - a must to get a tightly rolled rose.

Birthday Poppies

It's a beautiful, sunny Mother's Day and I'm so glad I'm off work and can enjoy the time at home. Following church, we opted to avoid the crowded restaurants and just have a cookout at home. We ate in our new sunroom and enjoyed the breeze through the screens without fighting any bugs! This card is a CASE of Jo (aka reddydyisco) who is the FS this week on SCS. She has a number of poppy creations, but I went with her colors in this card. I used the masking technique for the images and colored with Copics. The layout is for the Totally Gorjuss sketch challenge and it also works for the Play Date Cafe Challenge to be inspired by this picture using red, yellow gold & white. I'm also entering this card in the Crazy 4 Challenges to use lots of flowers.
STAMPS: Poppy Patch (Flourishes), Sentiment Flags (Lil' Inker Designs).
PAPER: Modern Homemaker (OA), Summer Days (Echo Park), Real Red, White.
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black.
ACCESSORIES: Nesties, Adhesive pearls, Button, Baker's twine, Copics.
