Butterfly Joy

This is my second post for today...this time I flipped the sketch (see post below) and used the Color Throwdown Challenge colors: Taken with Teal, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango & Black. I colored the butterfly with Copics, cut out & sprayed with a Glimmerz/alcohol mixture to give it some sheen. The sentiment is a new one by Verve...LOVE the fonts! I scored the tangerine panel on my ScorPal. Thanks for stopping by...now to get ready for work and have to remember to wear green. Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Egg-stra! Egg-stra!

...read all about it! Roxie's sketch challenge on Splitcoast was used for this spring card layout. The wreath was paper-pieced using DP colors from BasicGrey's new Kioshi paper pad. A couple of Nestie circles, some piercing, border punching and pearl accents completed this card that hopefully someone will find egg-stra special!

He is Risen!

I had made this card BG at stamp club on Sunday afternoon when my demo showed us how to use the double slot punch by SU and then weave ribbon through the slots for a unique look. ODBD's 4th challenge to celebrate their anniversary was to use our favorite ODBD stamp. I have always loved this cross image, so wanted to create another Easter card. It's time to get ready for work, so this post will be extra short.
STAMPS: ODBD 'He is Risen!', Verve 'Easter Joy'
PAPER: DP by SU (? name), So Saffron, Certainly Celery, White, Sahara Sand
INK: Memento Rich Cocoa
ACCESSORIES: So Saffron grosgrain ribbon (SU), Scallop border punch (SU), Scallop circle punch (SU), Sponge, Poinsettia EF (SU), Gold thread, CM circle cutter

Opulent Razzleberry Iris

Betty's color challenge on SCS was to use Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive & Orchid Opulence with a neutral. The dessert choice for the week was to use swirls (barely visible but they're in the DP in the BG). I used Mercy Kerin's Tuesday Sketch for the fun layout. I colored the iris with Copics then cut out the image and layered on 2 circles cut with the Cuttlebug. Some piercing and silver pearls finish off this card. Whoa! It is really past my bedtime... thanks for stopping by and commenting...I enjoy your visits!

Happy Spring

Julee has a fabulous Mojo Monday sketch which I combined with the 3rd challenge in Our Daily Bread Design's 2nd anniversary celebration. We were to use gold or silver in our creation. The sentiment is using a great font from Verve's new Easter Joy set - love it! Even though it's cloudy and overcast with more rain in the forecast...spring is still in the air. Have a blessed Monday!

STAMPS: Verve Easter Joy
PAPER: Tim Coffey Blossomwood DP by K&Co, Ripe Avocado (PTI), Naturals Ivory (SU)
INK: Cranberry Crisp
ACCESSORIES: K&Co Grand Adhesions sticker, Gold ribbon, Kaiser gold pearls, CB, Circle Nestie, Dimensionals, Sponge

Irish Prayer

Holly's new technique challenge on SCS was to make our own DP. I went to Google images and found this shamrock pattern...printed it...ran it back through the printer to print this Irish prayer on it. The shamrock is from the trio of hearts punch by SU (green CS was first stamped with the canvas BG) & the stem is from the 2-step bird punch. Clean and simple!

STAMPS: Canvas BG (SU)
PAPER: Glorious Green, White
ACCESSORIES: Trio of Hearts punch (SU), Scallop edge punch (SU), 2-step bird punch (SU), Rectangle Nestie, CB, Button, Dotted Swiss EF

Birthday Wishes

Our Creative Corner challenged us to use pink, yellow, green & brown together this week, so I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the layout to come up with this card. The large flower is stamped on white DP using Positively Pink ink. The smaller flowers are stamped then punched using a MS combo punch. Thanks for stopping by...
